Pretty, shaded trail. Feels longer than 4.4 miles on the way back but it was nice.

Love this trail, it is a good beginner trail. There are some downed trees that you have to go either over or under, but the lake is nice and so is the creek at the end. Parking can be a little hairy.

This was a great hike for late May. Myself and my twin boys ( 6 yrs ) started around 8a.m. They did great and we all enjoyed the stream bed at the end it was really quite tranquil. This trail is low on the effort scale even for two little fellas.

Nice trail, short and pretty. Trail was easy to follow. Lots of ticks in this whole area, seems to be really bad right now so really comb through your dogs if you bring them

Nice trail, beautiful woodlands. Several areas that did not have dense undergrowth so was able to get a good breeze. Elevation was not hard.

Nice, clear trail. Easy-to-moderate. Trail ends at rocky water bed that feeds into river. Great place for a fun picnic before heading back out. Only downfall of this trail is extremely limited parking off of busy two-lane road.

No lake views. Confusing signs prior to reaching the loop (recommend circling behind the cemetery and walking down the hill). The Bevil loop is very overgrown at parts and left the trail with multiple ticks. The trail itself is pretty solid.. probably better for bikers than hikers.

It was a nice trail, nothing super crazy. There were two bridges that were in decent condition. It is just an out-and-back of approximately 2.3 miles to the waterfalls from the trailhead. There isn't much lake view from the trail with all the foliage now. At the end isn't really a waterfall (unless you got to go way upstream/downstream to find it), more just some lil white water. Dogs liked it.

100% do not recommend this trail for literally ANYONE!!! The trail that is used to track what’s here on AllTrails is actually 2 or 3 other trails , and when you’re supposed to hit the waterfall and continue back through to loop back where you start at the lodge, the ‘trail’ that may have existed at one point that they want you to follow is washed out and just about impossible to follow and trails up Taylor mountain - you literally have to climb the mountain which almost looks like a cliff face! On top of it all, the trail isn’t exceptionally beautiful and there are a bunch of wood bridges you have to cross that are a little sketchy and some stone make shift bridges that are washed out. Beyond that, the waterfall you’re supposed to come up on through this trail is literally called dry falls. Supposedly the falls are supposed to be really incredible in the spring, which is why we decided to go ahead once we saw the name... It was totally dry, barely even some trickle from the rain water caught in the falls. We literally ended up taking the trail to where the falls are supposed to be and ended up hiking all the way back to the base where the road runs directly alongside the trail and followed the road back up to the lodge where we started and parked our cars. I don’t know who put this trail on here or who decided this should be ranked easy, but they definitely need to take this whole ‘trail map’ off of AllTrails IMMEDIATELY! The misinformation led to a lot of problems since I had two younger kids with me!!! If you’re coming to Lake Guntersville State Park for hiking check out the trail maps on the state park site! I will not be using AllTrails for any of the other trails in the park for the duration of our trip seeing as how badly this one went!

They are updating the trails in this park so towards the end you have to take the more traveled trails because this app map is waaaaay off lol. Also of you take waterfall trail you have to take old still trail THEN take Cascade trail Super hard to miss and get lost lol. from Cascade take Taylor MTN trail and your set from there. Also this app says easy but this is a TOUGH hike. It was rough terrain all the way around and my 8 and 9 year old were not happy I dragged them through the woods lol.

fairly easy trail took my 9yr old it took us a out 3 hrs total round trip with some stops along the way parking is nearly nonexistent near the trailhead we had to park up the street and walk to the trailhead which was sketchy since we had to walk on the road. there is one point on the trail where there is a small tree crossing the path the 2and bridge also has some damage it was. there is one small stream to cross that has no bridge but wasnt an issue for us walking across the rocks. the end of the trail has a wide creek and for us was worth the hike. while it is rated easy and kid friendly I will say it was fine on the way in but the way out was a bit more difficult for my 9yr old

This trail was short and I'm pretty sure we went the wrong way lol. They were updating all the trails when we went so we will do it again later on

Head up the Waterfall Trail (shows Terrell Trail on this App) after crossing the stream, trail climbs to the left then to the right, watch for a trail to the right (don’t remember any sign there) I saw orange blazes, came to the intersection of Cascade trail and blazes are now blue “Map on app shows a joining trail .3 miles left up hill but it is NOT there, only one way to go, lots of boulders and trail little rough, later it joins Terrell to make loop Good Trail I liked it!!

Took the kids for a out for a quick hike as we had limited time. Funny how things work, I wanted to hike the loop but the kids got distracted with the boulder trail. It turned out to be nature's playground. We climbed all the way to the top. A few scrapes and slips in the stream but a great day.

I did part of this trail along with Moonshine & Butler Pass to make a loop. ( App does not agree with State Park Map, showed Terrell Trail) app notified me few times that I was off trail but signs in woods says Waterfall and app was correct later no real trouble finding my way, pretty trail and actually had water but more like small cascade instead of falls ***zoom in on map to see that there is NO trail on left side instead you will follow The Terrell Trail***
