This was fun. A reviewer had posted that you could see views of the lake. I didn't see them but this was a beautiful trail anyway. I would rate this as Easy. It was perfect for a morning hike. I'm definitely going to go back and hike some of the other trails in the park.

I ride this trail quite a bit. Its a butt kicker especially if you park at the golf course and start there on the golf course loop and drop onto Taylor mtn trail and at the parking lot cross the road and run up to the cemetary and then onto bevill. Alot of hills but some intense down hills. The trails are clean with a ton of roots and rocks. Make sure you have plenty of fluids. Great way to spend a few hours. With a map there are 28 possible miles to play with. You have to keep an eye out for hikers but its well worth it.

IF you follow the trail loop as outlined on the map, you will undoubtedly agree this isn’t an easy trail UNLESS you are a triathlete and/or used to hiking in the Rockies. What the heck? Easy going back up to the top on the Taylor Mountain trail? Come on. Really? If you are in average shape, this is a workout...again, the whole loop as diagrammed above.

Poorly maintained and apparently not so frequently used. There are prettier hikes. Also, longer than 3.1 miles.

This trail is not maintained at all.. There were 3 large trees that were across the trail before we even got to the second wooden bridge. This would be a great trail if there weren't so many trees blocking the trail. Also not much parking at all. There's only room for 3 or 4 vehicles at the trail head. We parked about an 1/8 mile down the road and rode to trail head.

Trail was very clean, easy to follow and a lot of good places to stop on the way. I believe it is multipurpose. You could bike, jog or walk this trail.
It's very pet friendly. I completed it with a 5 month old pup and a 12 week old pup and we stopped twice on the way in and on the way out.
The hike was very easy. It may be a little long for a beginner but there are Rick's to sit on along the way. Ihave a 73 year old mom. I will be taking her as well. She will be able to do it with a couple of stops.
The stream at the end is SO beautiful! Happy hiking! Also, if you follow the stream down, there is a waterfall.
AND PLEASE..... IF YOU HAVE DOGS, TAKE POOP BAGS AND PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG.

I tried giving this a 1 star but my review was deleted, trail markings we're confusing, I'm not sure I completed the correct trail. trails cross each other, or unmarked trails spur off at different intervals. was a fun hike but not a great place to log completed trails.

A great trail for a light run. Decent elevations, not too grown over, and a view of the lake during certain seasons. Only found one trail head that is sort of obscure. Not much parking. Otherwise, a great option.

I'm not sure I did this whole trail. There are a few discrepancies in the actual signs posted and the info here. We were looking for the loop trail (not Kings Chapel) and map coordinates took us to Terrell trail which landed us at the Kings Chapel grave yard. From there we took the rest of the Kings Chapel Trail loop to go back to the road. Really pretty trail. I personally would rate it more easy than moderate. We'll do this one again in the future and hopefully sort out some of my confusion.

My son and I had a great time hiking this and another trail. not to much wildlife but it was the middle of the day, however we did see deer tracks. I have to agree that the signage could have been better, also parking, we saw trailhead signs but no pulloffs, we did see where other vehicles had pulled off on the side of the road and we did the same. Overall 4stars.

I was pleasantly surprised by this trail. The path is clear and marked really well. The creek at the end is really pretty. We'll hike this one again.

Nice, long, relatively easy hike. The trail was clean and the scenery was pretty. You'll cross two wooden bridges and end at where the water flows off of the mountain, into the lake. My husky loves when we finally make it there, he starts going crazy as soon as he can hear the water flowing. It's our favorite trail in the park.

Should have read Marshal's review. Everything was peachy until we reached the waterfall rocks. What the actual hell. We finally backtracked to the road and called it a day.

Such a good trail! So shady and clean trails! I'll be going back soon!

The trail was very poorly marked and somewhat overgrown once you got to the cascade part of the trail. As a result there were several times that we got off the trail and had to backtrack two or 3 times. The biggest problem is I was following the trail on my phone but at the bottom where you start up the hill and along the rock where the water should flow, the trail indicated here is not accurate. The line follows the rocks/water flow but the trail actually only crosses the path and then heads uphill north of the path and somewhat parallel to the rocks for a while then heads north to the "bear cave" and runs in the middle of the loop.

Varied terrain made it interesting. Only one section that I would call difficult. Signage could have been better. There were parts that I didn't know what trail I was on.
