done the trail yesterday..the lost falls weren't lost to us..flowing beautifully. got some awesome pics..trail very well marked

Very nice for hike with family and/or friend. Dito other reviews.
Little trash, except for some micro trash...bottle caps, cig butts, etc. Pretty good considering its the trashiest state in the union!!!

Real fun trail with a fun mixture of paths.

Had a great time hiking the trails. My dog and I hiked all of the Orange Trail, all of the Blue Trail, all of the Family Loop biking trail (counterclockwise) and hiked from the Family Loop parking lot to the RV campground and then back along the road. All trails were very well marked with paint blazes. The only word of caution is to keep your eyes on the billions of roots!

This is a beautiful spot and a gorgeous waterfall. There are several steps but there is a guard rail . It is a easy walk.

This hike DOES NOT include DeSoto falls. Can an administrator with Alltrails please revise? Desoto falls is north of here a few miles. I have it in my "activity feed" for reference.

a very awesome trail I have son the loop. Going back to do the how trail from DSP to 35falls can't wait.

We came on a holiday, and a lot of the falls are dried up right now, so this one was very crowded. We'll definitely go back earlier tomorrow!

it was as great. took the entire family ages 6,9,12,36,32. we all are different levels of fit and was able to do this with ease. even the dog loved it. great places to get in to cool off too

As my phone had no service and I used the trail map provided by the park, my experience was not what I was expecting. This hike was not difficult, and it was similar to the hiking in Oklahoma around Stillwater, the change in incline was less than I experience in Kansas walking to the river from my house.

The trail itself was beautiful especially by the river but there are A LOT of ticks. I highly recommend you and your dogs are treated for ticks before tackling this hike. The trail head actually begins in the state park just beyond the lodge and cabins.

Very easy trail... but we was told from the man in the gift shop it was a half mile (which was wrong). That
would have been fine if we all had our hiking shoes on lol. Expect to get feet wet/muddy on this hike. We did see the Lost Falls which was small, there was a family playing at the falls. We thought we saw where Laurel Falls was but no water (if that was the right spot). We followed blue markers until we got to Lost Falls then switched to the lower Orange trail markers to head back. I thought the trail was nice but we had just got the wrong information.

This review and map was not for desoto falls. We hiked a mile in and found small trickle of falls and a beautiful hike. Desoto falls is huge and you drive to it. Stop at the country store to get turn by turn directions

great kid friendly day with the kids or the elderly. nothing strenuous with beautiful views of the waterfalls

Hiked for about an hour below the park resturant, lt was fun but challenging I. will do it again when better prepared.

Lots of trail traffic.

The falls are pretty but the crowds of tourists ruin a lot of the experience

this trail is in various states of order. it is quite versatile, with several options for "bouldering" right next to the water, or taking an exit up to the bluff to walk along backroad 5 or along to ccc road (gillam trail is part of this). though maps show just 3 exits, there are actually 6 well marked exits all the way down to the river mouthing into the other fork near backroad 5 for a much longer and more scenic hike. not well frequented, lost the trail a few times but easy to follow the river and bluff. it seems the trails haven't been tracked for a while but there are some online efforts to update the maps and trail markings. blissful solitude, just me and the birds.

this trail was a relaxing walk with a great view.

Awesome trail! Very moderate a few little uphills. Parked at second lot on right past the canteen hut and hiked up the blue trail and meet the orange trail and hiked back down to make a loop! Trail is very clearly marked! Highly recommend!

easy trail, lots of fun!!

The leaves are just starting to change. This would be a beautiful hike when fall colors are at peak.

We had a good time. Parts of the trail wasn't marked well. Near primitive camp spot. Looked like people took down and tied up. In another area. I would like to go when the falls are flowing. They where all dry right now.

We use the directions on this app and it took us to a dad in but there are signs stating where the De Soto scout chill is and when it dead ends there's a gate and it's a little sign the trailers full of ticks infested overgrown but beautiful along side the river in a lot of rocks and some climbing see why it was rated hard but it was worth it.
