Description

Yushan National Park is Taiwan's largest national park and contains the summit Yushan, the highest peak located in the park. This park encompasses sections of the Central Mountain Range and accommodates over thirty peaks! Compared to other national parks, Yushan is not as heavily visited but still does garner a lot of visitors and attention. Yushan features canyons, valleys, and cliffs making the area rich in flora and fauna. Because of its location, Yushan is also susceptible to a variety of climates ranging from subtropical to alpine. Visitors interested in butterflies should check out Yushan from March to May as they will be flying through the valleys. This park also contains historical sites and relics from the tribes that previously lived in this area.
