This route is one of the most popular trails in the Canary Islands. It is part of the GR131 trail and offers impressive views of the coast and the volcanoes of La Palma. The beginning of the trail is at the Refugio del Pilar and ends at the highest point in Fuencaliente The red and black colors of the terrain contrast with the greens and yellows of the pines along the path. The geography has developed in the last 40 million years and volcanic eruptions have transformed the land in that period of time creating a volcanic landscape along this beautiful island.Show more

Relatively simple hike in La Palma, ideal to get into the nature of the island. You can park on both sides of the road at the beginning of the route and it is recommended to do this circuit in a clockwise direction. In general, this route runs through forest area and the ascents and descents are not particularly steep. It is a perfect option for hiking in summer because there is a lot of shade and a considerable difference in temperature in relation to the coast.Show more

Pleasant three-hour tour with beautiful views, such as Los Llanos, Cumbre Nueva, Pico Bejenado and Pico Birigoyo. The tour can be extended or shortened. It is recommended to bring sun protection and plenty of water in summer. The terrain runs through fields and lava pastures, forest roads and driveways, although there is a small stretch of asphalt as well.Show more

On this hike, it is easy to park right next to the area where the donkeys are, and the path cannot be missed. The terrain is composed mainly of volcanic ash, so it is recommended to be in physical shape as it is quite tiring. The climb through the forest is quite steep, but definitely worth it.Show more

Incredible mountain bike route from Los Llanos de Aridane, more specifically at the crossroads of Montaña Gámez, following the Celta, Tajuya and "Casas de Tacande" road, the classic ascent through the Lava field to El Pilar. There by the PR LP16 direction "Roque Niquiomo" on the eastern slope. It gently ripples over an increasingly sandy surface heading south. Pass the "Fuente de los Roques" above Fuencaliente and continue up the western slope slightly upwards until the PR LP15 (Mendotrail -S2), which descends to Jedey. The PR LP15 is simply amazing! From Jedey the path only continues downhill through San Nicolás, Todoque and La Laguna to Puerto de Tazacorte, where the route ends.Show more
