There are many routes to take you to the monastery. However, this particular hike seems to be the most popular all the way to the top. The first part is quite steep to prepare the hiker for the route. There are a lot of little caves along the whole way. The Monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt has a charming and cozy restaurant with good food. It is open all day only on weekends. It's definitely a good route, with pretty good terrain and incredible views at the top. Do not do with small children, unless they have enough resistance.Show more

Mura is located in Spain's Catalonia region. It sees only a few hikers, and it's among Spain's least visited destinations. This particular route starts at the main tourist office in Mura. Heading an easy path up into the hills you then start to leave the village of Mura behind you, once at the top you get to see the beauty of Mura in the distance. The path then takes you down the other side towards Puig de la Balma. Once you arrive at Puig de la Balma the path takes you then back on yourself to La Villa, following the path around you start to head down to the Riera de Nespres. Once at the bottom you then follow the path along the river back to Mura. Time without stops 1.5 With stop around 2.5hShow more

Les Marines is a residence community located along the B-124 just outside the town of Castellar del Valles. This round trip starts at the top end of Les Marines, following the main footpath for about 10 minutes you make a sudden right onto a small track (beware a  small pile of rocks points the way). This track takes you up a steep climb into the woodlands. After about the first 45 minutes you come to the first stop Pedra de l'Àliga. Taking care climbing up to the end point, you get to see an amazing view looking down over Les Marines. Then making you way back down to the main track and following it round to the right you will come to Roca mur. Roc mur (789 m, 40') has a small path leading to the top (20mins), there is also a second part to climb up to the peak if you want. Take great care as you will need to use the ladder built into the rock to climb. Once you are back onto the path and heading further around into the forest, you eventually arrive at Pla de Dalt (Farm house). This is where you need to take a small track down in front of the farm house to a main path at the bottom. Once you are on the main path keep going taking you into the deeper heart of the forest. This is where depending the time of year you well find many wild mushrooms.    Keeping on the path and taking some zigzags paths you eventually come out of the forest, where you will take the last stretch to the end taking you back to where you started.Show more

Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park is located in the region of the Catalan Pre-coastal mountain range that rises between the regions of El Vallès Occidental and El Bages, and occupies an area of nearly fourteen thousand hectares. It has a rugged landscape of proud cliffs and original monoliths, with vegetation spread over the mountain tableland or sunk in its characteristic potholes and channels. This Particular route (Circular Route Les Foradades) starts at the bottom of the park next to Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya. Following the main path up into the hills, once part way up the route then comes off the main path on to a track leading up to Serra De Pedritxes (Sierra de Pedritxes a mountain located between the towns of Matadepera and Terrace in the region of Vallès Occidental , with a maximum elevation of 790 meters). Once at the top continuing along the peek of the Serra, the route then takes you back down the other end to Les Foradades. Coves de les Foradades is among the most interesting cave in the park with around 25 meters of cave it can be accessibly from many different entrances. The main cliff face is formed by a splinter parallel over many years. From Coves les Foradades the route then takes you back around heading on a main path towards Font del Troncó (the fountain of the trunk) continuing along the route the path then starts to make its way back down, once at the bottom the path then makes a left turn back around towards Pantà de Can Bogunyà (small lake) Pantà de Can Bogunyà is a small lake which was built in early last century by the park as a reserve of water supple for use of local crops. From here the route then takes a small path back around to where this route trip started from. Overall: a great moderate hike with a hilly climb along the Serra De Pedritxes with lots of view to take in including Monsterio Románico de Sant Llorenç del Munt and Montserrat. Then taken a great turnaround back down the over side to the start of the trip. Show more
