Description

The Picos de Europa National Park was one of the first national parks in Spain. It spans across the Pico de Europa mountain range and through the communities of Asturias. Cantabria, and Castile de León. The park is magnificent and breathtaking and popular with trekkers and climbers. The mountain range is made up of three important and equally unique massifs: Andara massif, Urrieles massif, and Cornión massif. The ranges are full of high peaks, ravines and canyons - there are also meadows, hill forests, and oak groves. There are four rivers that flow through the park, these include: Deva River, Sella River, Cares Rives, and Duje River. This is a remote area with little human population and there are many protected animals in the park. Hikers may see the Cantabrian brown bear or the Iberian wolf. This is a beautiful and challenging trek for those seeking an ultimate adventure.
