Description

Situated a five hour drive east of Cape Town, near the town of George, the Outeniqua Nature Reserve is a striking natural landscape. The reserve offers many kilometres of trails, passing through five popular mountain passes. Some of the trails are day hikes whereas three of them are multi-day backpacking routes. The 38,000 hectare reserve is also great for bird watching. As with many South African reserves, visitors here are sure to see unique vegetation and animals.
