Very steep. Not good for running. Hiking.. not much great views.

Most beautiful of short trails in CT. Beautiful sandy beach at the top and a lake to swim in (naked if you like). At the summit you can access many different trails

I started this route at the Cecelia Forest entrance and made a right turn into the Bush shortly after passing the hut in the parking area. Followed the route uphill as much as I could and navigated towards the waterfall. From there, started the decent towards Kirstenbosh gardens and kept left until I reached the Cecelia parking lot. This is a quick loop with a fair amount of leg burn. Strenuous on the knees.

Beautiful trail, following the contour path through Newlands Forest. I hiked this in early May, and the conditions were perfect; however the boardwalk portion of the trail could become quite slippery after heavy rain. One could also hike this in reverse, starting at Rhodes Memorial and taking the trail towards the blockhouse, but keeping left instead of continuing all the way to the blockhouse.
