This walk starts at the Jonkershoek gate (so no need to drive your car in) and wanders gently upward, crossing streams and walking through shaded areas. This trail winds up the left side of the valley, following the river course, affording you amazing views of the surrounding Jonkershoek mountains. After about half an hour you get to the one and only climb of the day, a 185 metre up to the top of the hill. This is the place to stop, take in the view, and eat some snacks. Once rested it’s downhill to the end.
Along the way there are two or three bail out options if the children get tired or it gets too hot.
