Description

Abernethy National Nature Reserve is one of Scotland's largest nature reserves. It is situated between River Nethy and the top of Ben Macdui on the Cairngorm plateau and features a variety of upland flora and fauna, including Caledonian pinewood and the red squirrel. This national nature reserve is within Cairngorms National Park and includes Dell Woods. There are a variety of trails to choose from, from easy and short walks to longer hikes.
