Perfect for a late September sunny Saturday. Very quiet. we started and finished at the dam. this meant a coffee half way round in the village a swim at the end.

Very good, well marked. Lots of sand, so expect to walk slowly. Beautiful coast!

HikingGreat!

Vistas muito bonitas, há algumas subidas mas não é um trilho muito difícil. Bem sinalizado.

Beautiful trail with coastal views.

Stunning views make everything worth it. Clearly marked paths brought relief every time we were not sure where to go. Cliffs, the ocean, birds, the wind. Thank you is not enough to describe how grateful I am.

I would not recommend this walk. Views are of Sines, a horrible industrial complex, and a lot of the Cork oaks, are dead, or dying. There are definitely more beautiful walks, further South.

Walking

Very enjoyable trail in winter with kids. Wide variety of landscapes and trees, particularly along the valley leading up to the reservoir. Mostly unshaded and perfect for a cold sunny day. Very easy to walk. Lovely picnic spots along the valley.

Dec 10 57f clear light wind. We hiked this backward. Should have taken a taxi from VNMilf to PCovo and hiked south as getting a ride from PC back to VNDM was tough. Great views and very clearly marked trail. Mostly along the coast cliff tops. A lot is sandy tracks which were not too deep but added to it. Not a lot of altitude gain so we were able to complete in 5 hours without pushing too hard. Did the VNDM to Almograve the next day and much preferred this days hiking and views.

HikingNo shade

Am Stausee ist es nach der Wanderung sehr schön. Der Weg selbst ist annehmbar. Den Fluss bekommt man eigentlich nur an einer Stelle wirklich zu sehen. Bei knalliger Sonne gibt es kaum Schatten.

Hiking

Quiet, rural hike with well signed directions on forest and country paths. Not much in the way of scenery and a gravel descent at the end.

Fantastic scenery and a challenging walk. Some steep ascents and descents on the first third, a beautiful slog through soft sand for the final third but worth it for the views.

Hiking

This is not the rota Vicentina route. It's a nice gentle hike only hard because of distance close to 15 miles for us.

Beautiful section along coast. Natural with no houses. Beach area fun also but too cool to swim this start of June!

The trail signs do not follow the All Trails track so got confused. Should have just used the new paper map. Must have relocated this year. It was long and not easy. Would rate moderate.

Very exhausting because you walk through a lot of sand but spectacular views of the coast are worth it. Bring lots of water!

This is a beautiful trail along the coast. The first third gets you near the beach with lots of tide pools. The last third has wonderful cliff views, accompanied by fishermen and surfers. The middle third is a bit of a slog. It’s mostly flat but you are walking in sand so the going is slow. Bring lots of water and a hat as there is no shade.

Super easy and slightly boring - you walk mostly on the roads, the part by the ocean barely has 3km.

loads of sandy paths, quite difficult

This section of the fisherman’s/inland hike is pretty unremarkable. There are NO great views until you actually hit the coast. It’s solitary, open terrain walking. Claims of forest are untrue, the best you see are commercially farmed trees.

Good and difficult
