Briksdalsbreen is an arm of the great Jostedalsbreen Glacier in Norway, and it is a very popular destination. The hike to the glacier is on a wide gravel path. The hike is mostly a gradual uphill walk . Try to do this hike early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the large groups of people that trek to see this glacier. Less than a kilometer into this hike is the powerful Kleivafossen waterfall. The hike continues through the Briksdal valley and ends at a glacier lake. Here is where the famous glacier arm comes into full view.Show more

This trip leads to one of the most accessible glaciers in Norway. Even at this low altitude of almost 300 meters above sea level, you get the feeling that you are in an alpine, evenly polar environment between the lake and the glacier tongue, and further down by the river delta you can observe some of the processes that form the landscape. This trip is child friendly.Show more

Perfect trail for those who want to do a nice track surrounded by picturesque views rather high in the mountains, but not to gain too much height. The length is enough to spend several hours walking, but almost all the track is on the same height, so it is rather easy.Show more

Utilising the "Hoven Skylift" as a great start point for a walk in the area, this path is looped and also reaches Skredfjellet. Mostly walking paths paved with gravel. Show more
