Best lake trails in Rondane National Park, Norway

Along the way to Rondvassbu. From the start, a wide view to the west towards Formokampen, Jetta and Jotunheimen with Glittertinden and Kvitingskjølen as eye-catchers. Up on the hill great view north towards Rondane with Smiubelgin, Svartnuten, Rondslottet and Storronden. Driving allowed to Spranget, 1 hour here, parking. From here 1 1/2 h to Rondvassbu on gravel road without car traffic. Below Fremre Illmannhøe, the T-route from Eldåbu and Rondablikk enters the road and a little before Rondvassbu, the routes from Bjørnhollia, Dørålseter and Smuksjøseter enter. At Spranget, the river Store Ula passes through a narrow ravine that one could previously easily jump over. One of the sides of the gill collapsed in 1982 and a jump over is no longer possible. Alternative route along Ula to Spranget, a short hour further. West and north on the way. Then onto the locally marked path west of Store Ula 1 km until the path takes over the river and continues along Store Ula up to Spranget. Alternative route about Glitra, 1 1/2 hours longer.
