Best trails in Pelorus Bridge Scenic Reserve, Marlborough, New Zealand

Nice but small waterfalls, pretty steep on the way up with a nice view. Worth it of you're keen to sweat a bit and dont mind the wild pigs around. Day 1 - start the tramp at the Maitai Dam car park and proceed on the south east to Rush Pool - from there we trek up towards Maungatapu veering south west at the junction, climbing up to the Little Twin and Dun Mountain ridge summits - from Dun Mountain head further south west to connect to the Saddle-Rocks Hut route and stay overnight at Rock Huts - if you reach the hut early enough head up the short NNW track see The Rocks Day 2: head SSE then SE then E towards Middy Creek Hut joining the Pelorus Valley route there - then heading E then NE then E towards Captains Creek Hut then from Captains Creek Hut trek E. then NE then N to join the Maungatapu Road to meet a lift you have prearranged outShow more
