Description

Summits of Monterrey National Park is located in the northern portion of the Sierra Madre Oriental in the states of Nuevo León and Coahuila, near the city of Monterrey. Visitors can enjoy several hiking trails, appreciate beautiful waterfalls and the dramatic rock formations formed during the Cretaceous period. There are also many others activities such as rappelling Pozo del Gavilán (Eagle's Hole), the only cenote known in northern Mexico, the Cañón de la Huasteca which is marked with a significant number of prehistoric glyphs, and Grutas de García (García Caves) one of the largest cave system in Mexico.
