It is a two-day crossing of the Ligurian and Tuscan-Emilian Apennines from West to East. This route includes two segments of the Pedalaitalia, the first MTB tour of the mountains of Italy promoted by the Italian Alpine Club. The first segment begins with a long ascent on asphalt up to the Cirone pass which can be avoided by climbing to Groppo del Vescovo from the village of Gravagna after Groppoli.Show more

Short 7.5 km loop and minimum difference in altitude but still worthwhile. The path starts in uphill from the Bivacco Maddalena and leads to the summit. This is the only demanding stretch as the difference in altitude accumulates almost entirely in this part. The path can be periodically closed at times due to the presence of landslides.Show more
