great walk & lovely views.

Super easy and relaxing walk around the lake. Dog Friendly. Always crowded on the weekends. Done it many times. Recommend to visit if in the neighborhood.

Similar to to "White" route but a little bit shorter. Great views, many photo opportunities. Dogs friendly.

Very good trail. Dogs friendly. Great views from the top over the lake. Done it few times. If you are going counter clock wise second part is rocky and climb could be hard for younger hikers. Good photo opportunity.

Did this hike with my Daughter and Sister and Brother in-law, it was beautiful, mind blowing views and the flora and fauna was so beautiful. From mountain goats to Deer we saw it all. What an amazing hike.

Good gradual and continuous climb with great panorama views of the glacial valley and two lakes.

Highly trafficked and somewhat underwhelming. Dirt path, steep at some parts.

great trail but Instead of starting at the water fall and having to to climb the boardwalk steps we walked to the upper lake turned right and started the wall walk there ascending up through miners road. tough climb but it's quite rocky so easier to go up than down.. this will bring you right around the spinc and to the boardwalk and then descend the steps back to start!

I went on this hike with one friend in June while traveling Ireland from the United States. It was absolutely gorgeous and completely accessible for strollers and wheelchairs for the majority of the trip. We added a bit on to include the Mining Villiage Ruin and ended up hiking up the waterfall. It was significantly less accessible after the ruins but also insanely beautiful with amazing views. The best way to get close to the waterfall was the third switchback towards it (almost to the top) with a large rock that had looked like people walked there. There was a soft area but it was safe to scramble toward the falls. Good hiking boots are nice to ascend the waterfall as the many rocks are asking for a rolled ankle! This hike was definitely a 5/5 stars!

Nice walk with my minischnauzer...

Amazing trail with wonderful maintenance! Pack a snack, plenty of water, and a raincoat. It was very manageable with a slow pace and for someone of good fitness level it would fly by. I recommend starting low in the loop and walking from the car park through the miners camp first and then going up and around.

We went off trail up on the mountains the view was amazing and it was so peaceful up there

Fantastic views and challenging enough, gets the heart rate up. we did it 1.5hr but trucked on very hard. Bringing clients up, Sunday for our Revive Renew Hike. Perfect for different fitness levels. Recommeded for the view of Powerscourt Garden alone.

First part through the forest, next is rocky but not that hard. When you climb on the top of the hill trail goes on it till the end - views are amazing and path really beautiful but may be little dangerous for children :)

One of my favourite routes in the world.

My favourite trail worldwide so far. Even win over Yosemite to me. A great variety of landscapes and views. Caution the wind can be really strong on the mountain top.

Loved this hike for my family. It was very relaxed and beautiful. We had amazing weather so I’m not sure how it would be on a rainy day, but I’m sure it’s still beautiful.

We went up and back to the lake with 4 & 7 yr old daughters. The very start and end is steep and boggy - a bit tricky for the kids. Tough to find the trail up, but once you do it’s a lovely hike and well worth the views once you get to the lake. once you cross the river and get back the steep bog, keep right to find the trail. We stopped at the lake but hope to get to summit next time!

Easy stroll around lower lake starting at St Kevin’s Monastic City ruins.

I did this trail with a few other guys, and it was great. The views were phenomenal!

Just go and enjoy the nature with each step. don't forget about comfy clothes, shoes.

one of my most favourite place in Ireland. Just prepare comfortable shoes and enjoy the nature. You will love there

Excellent walk. Cliff climb beside the waterfall is tough. No marked trail but you can find your way. I would not recommend doing this walk in misty or poor conditions if you have not done before

Lovely quiet hike, long with some challenging terrain, if the cloud is down, knowing how to use a map and compass is essential.
