So gorgeously amazzzin! One of the best hikes I’ve ever been on in the world.

Just 10 minutes from Killarney, very convenient short hike that can be combined with the loop around Muckross Lake. Early morning left the car in the parking lot and headed on a paved road for about a mile and then a narrow trail up the mountain. Out and back from the parking lot in about 2 hours. Then headed by car to the Meeting of the Waters where you can park and there is a very nice lodge by the lake shore where you can have a snack. Hike around the lake took us another 2 and a half hours with a stop at the Torc Falls. We were back in Killarney before 2 pm.

Absolutely gorgeous views all around on a clear day. Hike in isn’t too bad. Well trafficked with a sturdy rock path and not a lot of slipping rocks or shale when dry-some uneven footing, though. Definitely recommend and will do again in the future. Saw quite a few red deer with babies. The railroad ties helped keep you off the soft and wet ground which was really nice.

Definitely get in early- heavily trafficked to falls then tourists thin out after. Beautiful area.

Easy/moderate and Relatively quick. Nice variety of terrain and views. Tourists thin out after 500 meters by the Torc falls then you have the trail to yourself. I was without a car so took the red bus in from Killarney for €6 then walked back. Way cheaper then a taxi.

Really lovely trek. The railroad ties keep you above the boggy bits which was appreciated. Saw a few of the legendary deer, they seem very accustomed to people and will stick around to be watched. Stunning view. Coming down wasn’t difficult, lots of uneven rocks made me slow down though. If you are. If you are not sure footed, bring hiking poles.

The hike up Torc mountain is absolutely incredible! We enjoyed the different terrain and the beautiful wandering creek and short waterfalls. The hike is a bit steep with slick areas of rock and mud, however the railroad ties wrapped in mesh wire made it easy to stay on the trail. The day we hiked the winds were extremely high so we weren't able to stay long at the summit but we could see all of Kilarney and the surrounding park! I highly suggest doing this hike to get out of the city and out into the wild!

Very easy to cycle form Killarney into the national park! Absolutely beautiful. Got there just as the park opened at 8, so it was not as crowded.

Most of the trail from the main area of the park to the waterfall was insanely crowded by midday--do yourself a favor and get there early. It was a nice hike and there were some very beautiful views. Very wide and well-cared-for trails.

Fabulous trail. Would rate it as moderate — not too difficult. Takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Well worth it!!

Hiked up in fog and rain and it cleared up.for way down. Poured again on return to bottom. So be ready for anything. Lots of areas where the trail is one person wide (boards over swampiness). Be prepared to get up close and personal with strangers.

We had a nice hike here. There is a car park at the “Y” of the loop. Lots of tourists making the walk up to the base of the falls. It opens up after that. Steep uphill. A few fun spur trails off the path. Hike goes to top of falls. Raining heavy, but can’t help that.

Here now! Great views, well maintained trails making for a nice stretch of the legs.

My wife and 16 year old son did this blue trail which after the waterfall was Poorly marked but you can add on to this 50 minute hike by walking to the castle and back to the parking area. A bit Streep after the waterfall but nice canopy .

Pedestrian at first but the loop is like an enchanted forest and good waterfall - wish the forest part was longer but a really cool hike!

This is a wonderful trail over rugged wind-swept hills. We saw another person only rarely. Beautiful secluded waterfall midway (suitable for the first of May). First half is on gravel road; second half on stones and wooden boards over the marshy bits.

Neat old trail past Torc waterfall. Gravel with stone steps until the turnoff up the mountain. Then stone plus railroad ties covered in chicken wire. Cloud cover made the trail wet and mildly slippery. Lots of green and song birds. Saw a red deer on mountain. No view from top due to clouds. Trail up Mtn easy to follow. No major drop offs or tight trails next to cliffs. Moderate steep cliff. Would hike again.

Super fun short trail! It was beautiful and even with the fog the views at the peak were stunning. Recommended!

For having done twice this hike at 2 different times of the year, the place is beautiful and the nature breathtaking

Love doing Torc Mountain, 3rd time now doing and time is getting better each time today did it in 42mins delighted. Fantastic views well worth it

Great trail, gets a bit steep, boardwalk and stepping stones. Be careful when wet, they have put white mesh down instead of the wire and it's quite slippy in parts.

Nice walk, waterfall is lovely, after that gets a bit steeper. We took the red trail so lot of incline and loose rock. Bring plenty of water!

Excellent trail with wooden sleepers to walk on where the ground is soft
