The eastern hiking path of Kau Nga Ling which is also called Dog Teeth Range or Dog Teeth Ridge, is one of the difficult hiking trails in Hong Kong. There are two other hiking paths of similar level of difficulty in the south side and west side of Kau Nga Ling too, namely the Mid Kau Nga Trail and West Kau Nga Trail respectively.Show more

The trail starts at one of Hong Kong's landmarks, the Ngong Ping monetary and its big Buddha statue. Take the scenic cable cart up to the Buddha and start by climbing up its staircase, then don't miss the visit to the monetary an be sure to light some incense and make a wish. Once you make your wish the trail will take you through the pass of wisdom then down along an easy path to the Shek Ping Reservoir dam. The trail goes on the slopes filled with small waterfalls and great vista points to the reservoir.Show more
