A great hike. Lots of beautiful foliage and huge trees. Shady most of the way. We started at 9a and it wasn’t too busy yet. The first 1/3 of the trail is wide enough for two way traffic. The trail then gets narrow is sections which causes some congestion. We highly recommend this for the views and the waterfall reward at the end.

Hiked this trail with my husband in May. Lovely waterfall but very crowded trail. Recommend to get there early. Lots of shade on the trail. Bug spray recommended. Relatively short hike but gets slippery and muddy the closer you get to the waterfall.

Nice trail, lots of cool trees and plants. Good for dogs and kids. There is some cliffs to watch out for especially if it has been raining. It took us about a hour and a half with some stops and a little detour to look at the ocean. Overall good hike.

It was a fun trail! We took our kids(10&8) and our two dogs a d we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm giving this a 4 star because it's labeled as an easy trail, highly disagree. The length is easy the trail itself is not. As a mom whose always had active kids interested in hiking, if i had brought a toddler here I wouldve been upset. It's too difficult for a toddler 100%. Kids under 4/5 I would not recommend you do this trail unless you are willing to carry them a lot of the way. I'd classify this as a moderate short trail

Great hike! I didn’t go all the way to the top due to time and I regretted it when I got home. Nice views overlooking the crater and there are a few decent waterfalls along the way. Tough but very enjoyable hike! Bring at least a few liters of water. I started midday, had a backpack with a two liter bladder and was out by the time I got up to the crater.

Manoa falls is a great hike for all levels of hikers. It’s usually pretty crowded but such a beautiful hike. We have gone when it is bright and sunny as well as wet and rainy and this hike is fun either way. It was actually very nice hiking this trail while it was raining. The wet trail was still fairly easy to navigate and it made the forest look amazing.

The views on this trail are unbelievable and no photo will do it justice! The view into the crater when you reach the peaks is breath taking. I’ve hiked quite a bit and I took a friend who hasn’t really hiked before- it took 8 hours all up in good weather conditions. Tips: -carry 3l of water -don’t attempt this if you are afraid of heights or are unable to scramble up and down rocks -I wouldn’t suggest it in rainy or windy weather - this isn’t safe for children Following some hikers in front of us, we accidentally went clockwise. This meant scrambling down the waterfalls rather than up them. The plus of this is that you could sit on your butt to work your way down if you were scared. There was one area after descending the second waterfall with no rope and this was scary as the foliage was loose with nothing to hold onto and we were slipping down the incline. Carry a 2m piece of rope to help yourself get across this. Otherwise, the rest of the hike is doable even for those with moderate experience, as long as you have at least one experienced hiker in your group. Just do an early start so that you can take your time out there. Highly recommend it!

muddy uphill start opening to a panorama of the coast. transitioning to a bamboo forest. in & out. one mile.

Great hike, once on the seven bridges trail it is relatively easy to follow. After crossing the stream take the split to the left to gain the ridge, it’s a little bit of a scramble but nothing too challenging and there is a rope if an assist is needed. The hike has a few ridge walk sections and quick elevation gains, nothing I would take my parents on! Enjoy

Legit tropical rainforest hike, though would not be mistaken for a workout. For beauty, it's a five star. We made the mistake of going around 11a.m. and the crowds were brutal. Nothing worse than waiting in line to walk down a slippery path. My kids (teens and tweens) really liked it anyway. But if you're looking for a hidden gem, this ain't it.

Great trail to walk through the woods. No scenic points, but lots of trees. There are many trails to go on that expand on this trail, so make sure you know where to go. Recommend to wear bug spray! A LOT of bugs.

This was a really nice hike. The paths were easy to follow and signs easy to read and interpret. It was a great day so the path wasn’t muddy at all and the dog had a great time. It took us about 2hrs to complete and we were walking at a casual pace and even stopped to have some lunch by the stream. Bring bug spray, there are tons of mosquitos.

Very long and very challenging hike. However, you cannot beat the waterfalls and the views. Amazing overall. I recommend this hike to folks who have a considerable amount of time left to spend on the island and/or seasoned hikers.

Every time I went it was rainy and slippery, but still an enjoyable time. I like it. This is a popular waterfall hike just due to its' proximity to town and UH, so expect it to be well trafficked.

Great trail. Crowded on weekends. Easy enough for older toddlers.

Best trail EVER! Absolutely unbelievable! we went 4 days ago and did the whole loop. My wife and I are in pretty good shape, but not super experienced hikers. The first 2 waterfalls are big, but the 3rd that you hike up is more like 10 combined, it seemed to go on forever which was awesome! A couple rain showers hit us, but it was warm and felt great. Lots of mud, so prepare for it. Definitely do this trail!!!

Pretty easy trail. A decent workout but nothing too steep. Lots of bugs and mostly in shade. We took the loop clockwise but I don’t think one way is easier than the other. Not any real views but pretty fern walls and trees.

We had so much fun on this hike with our two boys (3 & 1) it was muddy but they loved the jungle feel and the bamboo. We hiked to the Jack Ass Ginger Waterfall (why is it called this?) and played there for a bit. We loved the natural slide into the water. Definitely a fun afternoon! Wear bug spray. Don’t leave anything in your car. Decent amount of car window glass on the ground.

I took this off of Judd Trail yesterday. It’s an okay path, but can be confusing at times because of the lack of flags. I was going to complete it but recently a giant tree fell on the path, and I felt it was too risky to try and go over, under or around it.

Went on this today with two three year olds and 2 teenagers in the pouring rain. If your little ones are adventure seekers this is a fun short enough hike. However, with the rain, toddlers and younger babies will have difficulties getting through the last 1/4 of a mile as the path is very muddy/wet and there is a little bit of a climb. Thats where the babies and their dads went back. I continued with my teens and it is really nice at the end. There are a lot of people at the falls so not really a place to take a lunch and sit and relax for a long time but definitely a place for photo ops. Last tome we went we were able to get to the pool below the falls and hang out for a bit (eat lunch, dip your feet) but it’s chained off now. The rain gets crazy but it’s kind of fun. Not so much if you aren’t expecting it so be sure to check out the weather before going and if it says rain, just plan on getting wet (little to no shelter even with canopy of trees). The positive is that since it was raining so hard there were no mosquitos. Bring bug spray and a pancho if you don’t want to get wet. No flip flops. Be willing to get your shoes dirty and wet.

Pools at the end. Good hike overall with friends. Muddy! Bugs. Park on side of the road. Waterfall and people were jumping off.
