Description
The nature reserve Kahler Pön is a high heath, which lies south of Usseln. Until the 1920s, the heathland was completely without tree vegetation. In the 1950s spruce was then reforested and the historic use stopped. However, this development was detrimental to the important small climate of heathland.

This route is a certified premium hiking trail. It passes the medieval court square "Lügenbank" and a spring moor. In addition, the trail leads up to a mountain heath, from where you have beautiful views. The path follows the areas along impressive pines until you finally reach the heath-covered peak of the eponymous Bald Pön.
