beautiful lakes to spend pleasant moments of relaxation ... to picnic or even paddle ... next to the small village of Casset ... authentic with a charming cottage

Very nice hike to do with family. Many waterfalls come to mark the march. It rises dry sometimes but the arrival at the top on the plateau is worth a look. As a bonus, the marmots are many up there and not at all shy. Beautiful photos to do. Top.

Small nice hike that can be extended to the waterfall 1.4 km further to the belvedere. Very beautiful landscape. And as a bonus, pretty marmots.

The lake was completely dirty brown, but all the rest of the hike great and rather simple ☺️

Very beautiful lake of altitude. Take the right track, less steep, with the children.

If you take of thinking this trail is moderate all the way through, be warned. Part of the trail, right before or after the lake (see photo for exact location of that part), depending if you go clockwise or counter-clockwise, is in no way what I’d call moderate; if you walk the trail clockwise (which you should) you’ll be walking a very steep hillside with lots of loose rocks and pebbles - and at the top, just before reaching the lake, you’ll be doing climbing (a steel wire is attached to the cliff). The warning sign at the trailhead, in French, tells you this trail is not for newbies. The sign is right. You need to have your footwear, water supply and stamina in order. If you take the trail the other way around, you’ll do the easy part first and get to descend this steep hill. Lots of people seem to do the trail counter-clockwise, stop at the beautiful lake - and return the same way they came in. Whether you do the whole trip (I’ll rate at least a good part of it HARD) or take the moderate part in and out, you’re treated to amazing views, changing scenery with jagged boulders and meadows, marmots, flowers everywhere (in July, at least), vultures soaring above and space for everyone.

Very nice hike under the trees! Get up early to ride with the chamois.

Couldn't get there. Road becomes narrow dirt track usable by 4x4 only. We came through le Ponteil.

Full day hike with steep inclination and a rewarding view at the lake.
