Awesome hike, tough effort but worthwhile. Tremendous views !

Visited last July. Narrow passages in some parts, magnifique views. We camped one night near Lac Blanc, be careful not to camp too close to the chalet. You are allowed to use the bathroom from the chalet. They recommend you not to drink the water from the lake cause of some health issues problem that might occur later, you can buy from them. 10€/ bottle.... cheers....

We did this hike on 7/17/19. Very hard for us (we are fit 55-year-olds who like moderate rated hikes, and this one was a little out of our league.) The trail condition is rocky and hard on the feet despite our good quality Vasque shoes. Lots of boulder and rock fields from past avalanches. Views are gorgeous, of course, as are all hikes above Chamonix. One special treat is that we saw a number of ibex (wild goats) that are endangered but not uncommon here. See a few photos I uploaded. I recommend it but only if you don't mind 2,000 ft of climbing and a rocky path. Poles a must.

From Chamonix, avoid the path of the Flegere without interest and favor a departure Tines. Beautiful forest without difficulty

Hiked this trail in September 2014 and arrived at a very crowded lake, which I expected because there's also a nice lakeside cafe. The view of the northern mountain ranges is spectacular, especially in the late afternoon when they're sunlit with longer wavelengths.

Hiked to Lac Blanc starting from Argentiere. Only got until a little bit below of Lac des Cheserys. There are sections with snow, specially after Refuge Cheserys. Gaiters and spikes recommended to Cheserys, snowshoes recommended to continue to Lac Blanc. Beautiful trail

Very nice points of view!

Hiked to the lake via the trail starting at the top of l’index ski lift. Fabulous views !

Really tough climb after many days on the TMB. Views were stunning!! Keep going up as you’ll see many lakes before the actual Lac Blanc.

Amazing views, saw some Chamois, and if its a calm day, some great mountain reflections off the lakes. Flowers on the hike were also beautiful.
