Great walk especially the section from stow to the mast. The map for the trail is confusing at the start, but we found footpaths and quiet lanes to lower slaughter and it was perfect after that. Could get muddy in the wet.

Excellent downhill walk. The best part is the middle 4 miles.

A nice little trail conveniently located with lots of things to see along the way. A great walk if you like sheep!

Beautiful views of Bath, great woodland playground, a chance to have a cuppa at the Bath Cat’s & dogs home, a Sham Castle, and lots of bags if you’re walking at dusk! Nice mdoerate walk that can easily end with lunch in one of Bath’s many pubs!

Interesting walking along the canal observing the narrow boats and we spoke with a couple 8 yr residents. Calm and quiet on the way back.

Very pleasant walk

Free carpark, easy to follow route which is signposted. Lots of little stalls with home made refreshments on route so handy to have a few pounds in your pocket. Lovely varied walk taking in the village, some forestry and a golf course. Friendly route, lots of walkers around. Some of the gates maybe difficult for prams. Easy to do an extended version - 9.5k.

Please be prepared if you are going walk/run this route wear long trousers. Some views are great, but some part af the roads are at this moment not passable (high grass, nettles etc). Ok, for hiking but we would not recommend this route for trail running.

Great walk. Lots of sheep fields towards end to be aware of if you’re dog walking.

The trail was beautiful but the instructions on how to find the trail head were poor!

Really lovely, you cross through meadows, farms, fields and woods with lots of different terrain. I recommend using the map in this app as it can be a bit challenging at times to stay on the path, particularly if you go counter clockwise.

It was a great trail to hike for 3 or so hours of delightful walking (this would also be a great trail run). Modest elevation with great views of Bath, the country side, meadows and beautiful woods.

Lovely trail! Last part (or beginning) is a bit rocky if you are trying to run a trail, furthermore a defined 5 stars the views of the landscapes are grait

Great walk, not too hilly. takes few hours of you stop to take photos. long but easy. would definitely do it again The app kept crashing so I have it partly recorded, but did the whole thing

We could not accomplish this trial as it is planned. Partly due to moaning kids (5 and 7) and partly due to fact that we got off the track and app failed to work. We used OS maps to figured out alternative shorter route to get back to the car. Overall good place for hike/treck. Defo good to have paper map and knowledge how to navigate with compas.

Forest is really pretty, rest is boring

Nice walk but I would not consider it kid friendly for younger children. We had a mountain buggy but had to head back halfway due to steep and bumpy areas. Otherwise it’s a lovely and peaceful walk but we did get lost a couple of times

A good 3-3.5hr walk around Bath City with lovely views and sights to take in. Having been both directions round it would be more beneficial to follow it clockwise if you are new to this walk, as the National Trust have removed the signs directing you anti clockwise so you could easily get lost by following the wrong path. There are lots of benches on the route to stop and have some lunch or relax and take in the views. There are some steep parts up and down on the route so good foot wear is recommended.

It was a pleasant walk, but not alot to see. The paths were in good condition and very good access to all path ways. Sign posts weren't always great but made it a little more enjoyable having to figure out where to go. Lots of people on the same wall with dogs

nicely maintained trail.

This is a lovely walk. Roman villa is fascinating. Thoroughly recommend it.

Good walk taking about 4hrs 30mins with a stop for lunch. The trail is extremely muddy if there has been recent rain with a short section of the route walking through a shallow stream. There is also a long section on a relatively busy lane. Definitely would be more enjoyable in summer.

Lovely walk for the dogs and they even got to enjoy a swim. At times it was slippery due to the mud, stones and tree roots but made it enjoyable and entertaining. You can see a lot of work has gone on clearing the canal, near the pub, it’s unfortunate at times during the walk farm dumping has accrued. It wasn’t overcrowded and when you did bump into anyone they were friendly and polite. The pub looked and smelt amazing, we were gutted it was fully booked at the time (recommend booking a table in advance) but we did stop for lunch at another one locally, called the bell, which again the restaurant was fully booked but we managed to get a table at the bar. Lovely food but maybe a little overpriced. Would recommend the sapperton valley side was more interesting as a walk which is on the opposite side more to see, longer walk and more wildlife.

Fun trail, a few confusing parts on the way back to Stow. Overall an excellent route and not too difficult.
