Great walk, not so easy. We took a few de tours but the scenery was lovely! Also the pub is at the beginning/ end! (Not the middle) if you start where the route says x

Every nice hike with great scenery and good photo opportunities. We stopped at the Vindolanda museum which was very interesting but it is easy to burn a couple of hours there. If you are starting out late in the day I would suggest going clockwise because it seems the wind picks up in the afternoon in this region and in this direction you will have the wind behind. At the end of the walk worth a stop at The Twice Brewed pub.

Great walk with a variety of trails. All trails track recommended cutting through private property so we extended the walk past the farm which made the trip a 8km trip total.

Not the best for dogs, multiple fences

Not ideal for dogs as I had to lift 30kg Labrador over multiple fences, luckily I have been going to the gym.

We walked this trail with 2 dogs mostly off lead. The dogs could swim in the river and there were minimal livestock encounters. Enjoyable quite walk.

Was a great day, take some swimming stuff with you, you can dive into the waterfall on a clear day, I have been told you can’t jump in if it’s too shallow so check first.

The heavens truly opened when I undertook this trail a year ago, however, it was worth it to see the waterfall in full flow at the end.
