We did the whole trail but didn’t record the first half to Muker. It was great until we came down from the Smelt Mill where the trail was washed out because of the river and no where to cross so we backed up slightly and ended up going down a sheep trail with a sheer cliff which was dangerous and scary. However the hike up Corpse Road from Muker on the Pennine Way was tough but rewarding, the views stunning and peaceful.

fairly local for us, very good easy hike. Downside is it is VERY popular, if you are looking for a fairly quiet setting avoid on a clear day.

one of our favourite walks. quite exposed in places. multiple routes up to the top. well signposted and there's a map in the car park. local shop near the carpark for an ice cream afterwards.

Parked at Muker car park. £4.50 for 10 hrs. Walked up through the village and followed the stream upriver on the left side. Just before Keld turned right over the bridge, passing the waterfall. Decided to go left and follow the Pennine Way for a short distance. Well worth the view from the top. Turned back after lunch and followed the path back, down river, with the river to our right. Crossed the bridge back to Muker and the car park. Fabulous, peaceful walk, steep in places but nothing too strenuous.

Lovely walk and views!! if you can't get up the scar then go down from the top, well worth it.

If your on holiday this is a must do, we had a sunny warm day , walked to the waterfall first around to the gorge then to the Plato then down the many steps which worked for us , the views were amazing

This is a nice walk, would recommend. We changed it a little by continuing the route further to look at the old mine workings and then returning by Backstone lane. You will need to check the gps to make sutre you are on the right track as it's easy to miss some of the paths.

Great walk with great views walking along side the river with some nice little waterfalls, would certainly recommend this one

Great walk but much longer than 6.6k!! It took us 2.5 hrs and we all got blisters as not quite prepared for so far and so steep. Lovely walk otherwise.

Fabulous easy to follow route, fantastic views and great underfoot. Actually loved the second half unlike some others. The sweeping views down across the grouse mood towards Swaledale were stunning.

Lovely day on on this loop. Fantastic afternoon bbc or the family with a steady climb up towards Malham Cove.

Easy, pleasant walk in lovely countryside

An absolute must for a route with kids in tow. Janet’s Foss is at the end if a Fairytale walk along a secret, moss lined stream before the awesome gorge of Gordale Scar. The route up to the top of Malham Cove is via some steep steps, but the view is worth it. Good selection of pubs in the village on the way back.

Absolutely loved this!!! In an attempt to get fitter we’ve started walking. This is no beginners or easy walk! It is however a nice walk to build up. It’s great seeing how much fitter you’ve become. A nice pleasant walk on the hillside and by the river was quite nice too. If you’re slightly worried you’ll struggle then I’d suggest the hillside there and back as it’s all road. Well a small little road that leads to a few houses so not much traffic if any. Dogs need to be on a lead as there’s lots of sheep and some cows too. Nice little cafe in Gunnerside that do lovely toasties! They take card payments in there too.

Great walk but had to divert around Gordale Scar, which added a little distance circa 8.4m total.

Lovely little trail, not far at all but so nice to see the falls.

Absolutely beautiful!!

GG

We did a larger circular loop and even though the trek uphill was tough (very steep) it was well worth it! Breathtaking views!
