Lovely walk. Unfortunately it's very overgrown down by the river.

Very good walk. Had a bit of everything- woodland, fields and river bank. The river bank was overgrown and single track (you wouldn’t want to meet someone coming in the other direction). Very handy spot to park your car by Kirkham Priory.

Walked this route on a sunny day in July. Overgrown along the riverbank, but the rest of the walk was very pleasant. If you are looking for a walk with varied terrain, this ones for you. River banks, wheat fields, country road, farmers fields and woodland. Our dog loved this walk and so did we!

We went on a day of heavy summer showers and it was fine. Wouldn't recommend it during the winter months as the River Derwent regularly breaks its banks.

We took this walk in May, persevere with the first stretch through the woods, although quite steep the rest of the walk was mostly downhill or flat!! The scenery was stunning and walking back along the river to Kirkham was wonderful. Our dogs loved the walk, mostly off leads, for a good run. Thoroughly recommend!

Great easy walk. You may have to walk through a field of cows, that did say beware of the bull. We didn't experience any problems, but it did worry some of our group. The walk through the bluebell woods in the second part was beautiful. We finished at the pub and had Sunday lunch. This was very nice although a bit pricey for a pub. On the plus side, they welcomed the dog in the bar with a bowl of water and a treat.

Lovely autumn walk although very wet underfoot in the fields by the beck
