As the oldest protection area in the Czech Republic, the Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area is in northeastern Bohemia and mostly exists to protect the famous sandstone rock formations. There are many small bodies of water throughout the park, with bogs mixed together with forests and ravines. The park dates back to prehistoric times, as is evidenced by interesting archaeological finds in the area. It is a magical place to visit.
