Description

Located in Daocheng county, Yading Nature Reserve is known for its three holy mountains. These three mountains are: Mount Chenrezig, Mount Jambeyang and Mount Chanadorje. Mount Chenrezig, the tallest out of the three symbolize mercy. Mount Jambeyang symbolize wisdom and Mount Chanadorje for wrath/power. These mountains are embodiments of three Bodhisattvas and locals say that if one makes a trek to the mountains, their wishes will come true. Make sure to check out the lakes at this reserve, Pearl Lake is known to be a fairy's mirror and is one of the best places to go sightseeing. Another lake to see is the five colored lake, located beneath Chenresig. This colors of this lake changes due to light and ranges from green to blue to light blue and more! Other sights to see is the Chonggu Monastery, a temple built to worship the mountains and Luorong Pasture where wildlife galore!
