Description

Situated 40 miles southeast of Santiago, the El Morado Natural Monument is a striking glacial cirque. With the Cerro El Morado peak dominating the landscape, this 30 square kilometre monument is ideal for the experienced mountain climber. The park is at a high altitude, and all the trails go to even higher altitude, so this area is not for the faint of heart. Pets are not allowed in the park. There is a fee to enter this monument.
