Known for its miles and miles of ice fields, Laguna San Rafael National Park is a striking landscape. Located on the Pacific coast of southern Chile, the park also features a 10-mile-long fjord that visitors come from all over the world to see. The Northern Patagonian Ice Field is totally contained within the park. In addition to hiking to observe the glaciers, the park offers activities such as navigation and boat tours to observe the landslides of large masses of ice, fishing and mountaineering. As with all Chilean national parks, visitors will find abundant wildlife here, including albatrosses, swans, dolphins, sea lions, and elephant seals.
