Why join a mud run when you can walk the beautiful and muddy trail of Mont-Orford on a day of autumn :) great day of hiking, several beautiful views throughout the course. I would like to come back this summer to dive under the falls! The point of view at the summit is worth the effort of the rise, but it is necessary to be vigilant in descent because the rocks can be slippery and in this beautiful month of October there is a lot of mud. Returning from the summit, we skiped the descent into the valley using an untagged trail from the gravel road (ski slope).

We did this clockwise and I suspect the views are better in the other direction. I also prefer walking in the woods and this was along a cleared path for skiing, which made for a less serene atmosphere. Challenging because of the elevation, but not in a fun way because it’s all loose rock and open spaces. Would not do this again.

We hiked in a counter-clockwise direction. The climb was more apical but the descent was worth it, a magnificent view of the mountain range and lakes.

Crazy line up to get in.... go way early but so worth it. 4 hours with 2 x 11 year olds. Beautiful view points. Seriously breathtaking. A bit muddy.

For hikers, this is the "right" hike. There are 2 hikes for Mont Orford on this app. One is in the ski slopes, the other is this one. Typical hike in the wood at 90% with views, nice stream at the beginning. Very good. She "falls" in the ski slope for the last climb to the summit of Orford. I find this end a little unpleasant, on the big gravel road with hundreds of people. Today, the ski lift is in function so hundreds of people at the top and on the ski slope.

nice little hike, moderate difficulty level, dog accepted.

Oak Creek Well indicated but quite technical with rocks and roots. It goes up almost all the time. But very charming hike with falls and creek.
