Explore the most popular wildlife trails in Gatineau Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

Approx a 6km loop starting and finishing at P7 which took 2hrs in total. Reasonably well sign posted with a few ups and downs along the way.

great trail in wakefield! For a good workout!

My favorite trail in the Gatineau park. You can do the loop twice since it’s short, but it’s a good workout because of all the stairs.

Great Hike.
This time of year you don't need snowshoes. There are handful of steep ascent and descent, so you may need hiking poles for traction. Or you can old school and walk along the snow adjacent to the trail for more traction when ascending or descending.

A great hike and workout!

I had planned to snowshoe but the trail was too packed down. Instead I hiked with poles - was difficult but very pretty. Some very steep sections where I wished I had cleats.

Very enjoyable route for snowshoeing. Some steep slopes that are challenging in winter but the varied terrain makes for a rewarding route that travels through different patches of forest and open field. There is also a fire pit and wood available at Lac Carman should a rest be needed.

Connects with a number of other snowshoeing trails to the north and south.

Very nice, quiet trail. Sometimes the trail is a little hard to find/follow.

Nice easy trail to get outside with people who aren't super hikers. Has beautiful views in all seasons. Way too many people on weekends. A light hike/walk - there are stairs too. Done this many times.

Great place to see some fall colours in Gatineau park without all the crazy traffic on the main trails off of the champlain parkway. Nice wide trail (you can take a sturdy stroller) going through mature woods then scrubbier forest before you arrive at the lake and cabin. The parking lot (p17) is just past the roundabout before Wakefield. One odd thing: the Gatineau park trail doesn't show it as a loop while the all trails map does. I did see another unmarked trail when I got to the cabin. Maybe that was the return loop! We just went back the same way we came in.

Love this place :)

Maybe not do it again but still glad I did. It's a nice long walk, but in the end reaaaally easy. Not too crowded if you go for the loop.

good quick loop.....lots of stairs....some great views (Thurs Sept 28, 2017)

Nice trail for day hiking. We parked at Parking 7 and hiked the loop, plus continued to Keogan shelter which was a nice surprise. There are several intersections and we met a family got lost as we ended our 4 hour hike back at Parking 7.

Nice easy hike, not a lot of traffic and pretty sweet view for very little work! Pretty lakes along the way - good option for a pleasant afternoon walk in the woods.

on Pink Lake Trail Loop

Not much of a challenge but very scenic. It is quite busy with families, children, and tourists stopping to take pictures and can be muddy after rain.

Beautiful!

I biked up to this trail from downtown Ottawa but forgot to bring a lock forcing me to carry the bike around the lake. This was not a problem as the trail and stairways are wide enough to do this while still being able to pass others. Beautiful views and plenty of information and signage.

Very nice trail

We started at Parent beach and headed south on the south west side of the lake. It was lovely and quiet once we moved away from the lake. As we rounded the end of the lake and started the north east side, the path was much more over grown and we quickly turned around because of poison ivy. We do not know how far the poison ivy went. We returned on the south east side close to the lake where there were many more people.

i used to work as a nature interpreter in gatineau park and pink lake is worth it

nice easy trail, no dogs allowed though...
