Do NOT try to walk/hike this trail in the winter. The signs are not clear, but the NCC Conservation Officers were out in full force and handing out tickets because the trail is for Cross Country Skiing only in the winter. ”Best used April-October” should actually say ONLY to be used April-October.
GREAT trail though. Definitely worth checking out. A few steep hills in each direction, but not too bad and lots of great views make it worth it. But wait until winter is over!

Fantastic loop for XC skiing with natural break opportunity at the Huron cabin. The #3 is incredible.

Nice lake, waterfall and ruins to look at while walking. A few hills but nothing steep.

Le lac est magnifique. Beaucoup de personnes comme d’habitude dans le Parc. Assez facile cependant.

Absolutely love this trail. The lake is beautiful and it’s just long enough to feel like you got a decent workout. There are usually quite a few people on the trail, which is to be expected at the Gatineau Park. I would recommend it as a nice outing for the day. Lots of places you could sit and have a picnic after.

We really enjoyed this trail but agree that you need to map out the trails in advance. We ended up tacking on an extra 3k to our hike because we took the wrong trail.

It’s pretty wet and muddy in certain areas right now but the fall colours are beautiful!

Fun hike, beautiful waterfalls!

Great hike, a few ups and downs, last part near the ruins gets a bit tricky but otherwise the footing is easy. The ruins are great and are definitely worth checking out! They're surrounded by waterfalls from the nearby dam, very relaxing if you can get here when it's not busy! The trail was a bit wet and muddy in late May, so wear appropriate footwear. Great photography spot. Dog friendly.

Great walk. Always enjoy the ruins. Great trail behind the falls too!

Great trail. Beautiful views.

Good trail for sure. Important to note that this loop is made up of a series of trails, and if you don't download the trail map it might be useful to write down which trails you take at various forks on the path. We got a bit turned around because we hadn't written it all out.

Lovely and a very easy hike!

great trail. some steep parts but manageable. was a little busy at the ruins but nothing crazy. loved the sights.

a well maintained trail with facinating ruins. overall a great hike with lots to see.

The ruins were really cool. Lots of folks swimming. Crossed some ladies carrying a stroller with toddler - not a great idea. Not ideal for small children.

An enjoyable, easy hike. A good trail if you’re looking for a short weeknight hike.

easy hike to the ruins and falls!

Quick hike - well shaded, average amount of bugs. All in all a nice, quiet hike with some great scenery. Trail is very wide and easy to follow.

Had a fantastic time! Dogs swam and the hike was beautiful the ruins are really cool.

Lots of shade. Couple steep climbs but not too difficult. Keep going beyond the Falls to add extra steps. Can get busy on weekends but lots of space.

Park at P11 at OBrien beach. Lovely trail, very easy hike. About 30 mins walk to the ruins . Nice views of Meech Lake along the way. Dog friendly. Busy on weekends but not too bad on a weeknight. The ruins are cool.

Easy trail. Well maintained. Light traffic

Nice easy hike but super busy. There are a few trails off the main on you can do

Nice surprise compared to the other trails I have done in Gatineau Park. Plenty of ups and downs and the ruins/waterfalls are beautiful. I'm from BC and this trail reminded me of back home! There are a TON of bugs, so be sure to remember your bug spray!

Majestic walk. One of the best in Gatineau Park. My K9 and I loved it.

Two steep hills. A great trail. Nice views of lake. The ruins and waterfall make the trek worth it.

Lovely hike! Wish I had time to go further out but it was a great trail to get in some exercise and explore. The ruins was neat with the water falls next to it made for great photos!

We went over Easter weekend and it was quite snowy/icy still making it moderately difficult- we saw a couple other hikes who were all wearing snowshoes, so consider proper footwear/gaiters. The trail head marked on this map is very easy to miss and is off a very narrow street with NO parking. We started on the SE side of the trail, extending the loop by about 2 or 3K. The trail itself isn't marked very well so BRING A MAP! Other than that, it's a beautiful hike with spectacular forests. Pink lake is pretty small itself and you can easily tack on a quick lake loop with this hike. Picturesque and difficult in a good way.
