Really great outing! Very varied terrain and vistas - several beautiful lakes, big and small. Great trail maintenance with excellent signage. We went late afternoon (3pm) and saw no other hikers. Trail 6 is a typical forest trail (in/out), with some info panels on ecology. All other trails are to the left of the welcome center and more exciting (the lakes are there). Lake Amik can be viewed only from a distance from trail 6. Non-for-profit organization keeps it all up and asks for an ‘entrance fee’ of $10/adult, $7/child, and $15/family - we gladly left the money in the box!

This trail is barely worth it in comparison to the other trails in the park. I did it because I wasn’t ready to go home. If I went again, I’d skip this trail and instead bushwhack along the stream-bed in the valley floor.

This trail is an incredible immersion in old growth forest. I went in mid May before the black flies and leaves were out. The ground was covered in wildflowers and I was the only one in the park.

The quality of the old growth forest is what makes this trail system worth it. This is a very easy trail for anyone who is regularly active

Beautiful well-marked trail winding up and downhill through mixed forest, past several lakes and streams. There are some stairs. We paused several times for snacks or photos, and it took us about 1h45m. We only encountered two other groups. Lots of pretty lookouts and resting spots.

Beautiful and easy for the whole family. We saw many frogs and a beaver up close! Not much traffic at all on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Great hiking in the réserve écologique. We combined three trails to do a greater loop. Beautiful scenery, very low traffic and well maintained trails. A good alternative to the Busy Gatineau park (although not free). I will definitely go back!

A nice walk through a stand of old growth (400 year old according to the website) Western Quebec hardwood forest. There is also a small waterfall. In the fall the colours are spectacular and the trail is much less crowded than anything in Gatineau Park. A bit more challenging than most Gatineau Park trails, but nothing a little kid can't handle (with some help!). There is also a nice interpretation centre.
