This trail was a blast! I was very icy because of the time of the year, but it was nice to have the challenge. There were a few bigs hills that were great to climb. The trail could use a few more signs for directions to make things more clear for hikers. We parked at Rouge National Urban Park for free, as mentioned by others in comments.

The trail is covered in snow, difficult to walk in some sections. The scene however is very open and stunning. The trail itself is pretty narrow, so if your planning on taking your dog, just be aware that any dogs passing by will be in very close vicinity with nowhere to move aside to avoid.

We checked out the Orchard trail for our 3rd hike of the #52HikeChallenge and were genuinely impressed. It’s so nice that we have this little plot of nature amidst its urban surroundings. We were lucky that there was fresh snow from the day before so our husky had an absolute blast playing in the snow. The sunset from behind the trees is gorgeous!

I went midday and there weren’t too many people around. Nice and easy with some minor elevation.

I will only hike here in the winter months due to how bad the ticks are during warmer weather. Was a very nice hike, however you will need boots with grip(my pair of yaktrax worked great) and/or waterproof shoes because many parts of the trail were icy and other parts where a lot of ice had melted were so flooded I had to go along the very edge of the trail and still had to walk through water. Some parts of the trail at the beginning near the river look as though the river may have flooded and washed the trail out a bit however other than being muddy and very wet it’s still very useable.

nice trail no one was on it today due to previous days weather. say some deer trail was washed out by over flowing rouge

Extremely muddy on warm winter days. Would be much better when there's snow, but when the snow melts it's all mud and puddles.

Such a beautiful trail! Easy to follow the white blazes and we parked in the lot from entering this location in google maps "Rouge National Urban Park, Twyn Rivers Area" based on comments from other reviewers and this was perfect it led us to a parking lot with signage and an entrance to the trail. We loved walking alongside the river!

Best early in the morning in cold weather. Trail gets busy. Rouge park is no charge and no set hours.

The scenery on this trail is beautiful and it was an easy, quick hike (only one steep hill and staircase). The fall colours made it especially lovely.
