Well maintained with variety of scenery. Portions alongside a lake and then parts further into the forest. Variety of vegetation and bird life to view. Parking close by, benches along part of the trail. Mostly shaded by forest but some sunny openings.

The maps shown on this page are not Husky Trail. They show the bike path and pine plantation trail in Roth Park in Woodstock proper, and the South Shore Trail that runs along Pittock Lake from Oxford Road 4 outside of Woodstock and becomes the bike path in Roth Park. I know this because I live nearby and walk this trail about 3 times a month, year round, with my dog. There is a sign naming it the South Shore trail at the trailhead on Oxford 4. The sign for Roth Park is at its entraince on Huron/Leinster. If you walk across the grass along the lake from the parking lot in Roth Park (as if heading back toward the park entrance) instead of going down the bike path, the trail continues all the way to Vansittart Ave. I highly recommend this trail as a pleasant hike year-round. Husky Trail is across the lake, in Pittock Conservation Area proper.

Great winter trail. The main trail seemed to have been groomed by a snow mobile which made the going quite easy. The top loop through the forested area was a little tougher with a barely broken trail. Would have definitely fared better with the snow shoes and been able to take advantage of some of the lesser traveled side trails by the water. Not the most secluded trail and a fair bit of road noise on sections, but enjoyable non the less

a nice flat dirt track along Pittock. Side trails provide a change if scenery if doing a loop. Commonly used by bicycles and runners. Peaceful
