Nice wooded area and grasslands

I hiked this trail in August 2013. The entrance is clearly visible, the parking lot is well-maintained, and the main trails were mowed for easy walking.

Although it had been very dry in the days before my trip, there was a lot of mud and water across the trails. If you go, bring some waterproof footwear and a lot of water. Small bridges to help keep the area accessible would be appreciated.

Much of the beginning of the trail is in a prairie-like area and you will be in full sun, so hydration will be very important.

There are several geocache caches within the Perch Creek Habitat Management Area, one of which I have included the link to below.
