The Singhampton Caves Trail is part of the Nottawasaga Lookout Loop. The Caves Trail is challenging because the Trail takes you through spectacular rock formations requiring you to crouch through openings and slide down on snow. There are some steep sections so wear crampons. Do not wear snowshoes because they will be too big and cumbersome in some of the areas. Poles are recommended. I suggest you start from the eastern approach and climb up into the Caves Trail instead of starting at the top and hiking down. It is worth the effort because this is one of the nicest hiking trails in this part of Ontario.

Short but sweet! Great views, beautiful forest and fun scrambles through the caves. Best quick hike in the area. If anyone is confused, this trail is referred to as the "Standing Rock and Caves" side trail in the Bruce Trail guide. "Singhampton Caves" is actually a larger loop that also contains this side trail.

Majestic!

First time using this app and first time truly hiking. Got very lost but it’s a beautiful trail. Very nice place to get lost. Will revisit, for sure.

Great trail, the kids loved it!! Mostly in shaded area, beautiful scenery and versatile.
If walking with small children MUST behave carefully around cliff view.

Great trail. Suggest going right from the trailhead to begin the loop. This makes it easier to manoeuvre the cave section at the end. (Easier climbing up the cave section than down)

Enjoyable trail with the highlight of hiking through the caves.
A few rocky climbs which could be slippery if wet.
Some deep holes to watch out for if hiking with small kids. Ours loved it.

A hidden gem. I asked a couple on the main trail if I was near the entrance to the side loop and they had never heard of it. It was the most challenging hike I had taken my 5 yo grandson on and he loved it (even though he thought the cave was not big enough.).

Extraordinaire. Walking in these walls was exceptional. My favorite in this area.

This is a great trail, fairly easy for many ages and full of fun things to explore.

❤️❤️❤️ one of my favourite places for a hike

great trail. the cave is so cool.

Did the loop with 3 kids and a puppy. Didn’t realize the end of the loop was climbing in, through and up the caves. Challenging for sure, especially with the current icy conditions. Will definitely do this one again and again. Lots of opportunity to explore our beautiful area. Bring your bug spray also!

We had a blast today! The caves were definitely the highlight. Some tricky spots because of the ice but it just added to the adventure. Would recommend. There could be better signage and maps, we weren’t always clear of what path to take.

Amazing views, watch the ice in the caves this time of year. Absolutely worth it !

Did it in March covered in ice. Challenging hike at that time of year but made it through. A load of fun and certainly no crowds!

Loved this trail. Got a little lost at some points but still enjoyed it. Caves are a bit strenuous but worth it! Absolutely beautiful

Pretty trail and look out. Some strenuous caves if you're up for them but they aren't necessary to complete the hike. We went in early spring and it was the perfect temperature, a little chilly in the caves.

Short hike but full of adventures! A lot of climbing and areas to explore! You’ll definitely need hiking boots for winter, there’s some slippery and icing areas. Be sure to go counter-clock wise through the path.

nice short hike and such beautiful sights to see

We did this trail in late November with snow on the ground, and it was wonderful! The trail is well marked and the rock formations are amazing. I agree with Joanne that it's best to do the trail counterclockwise, especially in the late fall and winter. Trying to navigate your way down slippery, snow-covered rocks into the crevices wouldn't be fun!

Lots to explore. Really enjoyed exploring the caves and crevices. Did it clockwise witj some back tracking to hike up some and into some interesting things.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trail. Happy we took the advice to do it counterclockwise. The climb up and through the rocks and crevasses were an amazing way to end our hike. A must do.

Great hike! Fun caves. I recommend to go counter clockwise around loop.

This is one of the best short hikes in the area. It is very unique and offers lots of beautiful photo opportunities.

It was really a good hike. Even though it was very short hike but the beauty was everywhere. Specially, the air and ambient inside of the cave was so pure and soothing. It is a loop hiking trail, just need to follow blue and white markings. Sometimes, you will find Bruce trails are merging with this loop.
There are many apple trees. You will find a lots of apples on the ground.
I would definitely recommend this trail to everyone.

Great late summer hike. Took the dog, which was ok, next time I won't. Caves are awesome would have explored more but tough to do with the dog.

Can be slippery, well worth the hike I will go again
