It's more about walking than hiking and can be busy on the weekend. Paved path. If you go at the right time in the Fall, you see the fish swimming upstream.

It's nice but it's not a hike. It's a crowded walk on a paved road. Lots of cyclists on the same path and you have to move out of the way often.

road biking

Very good afternoon biking from lakeshore to a little further north after the golf,a few steep passages that can be overcome all the same.Pretty quiet at that period of year.

Always a nice walk. Easy 100%. All paved trails, nice scenery walking along the river. Heavily trafficked (people, dogs and bikes). I find south of Dundas busier than north (to Eglinton) but it's all pretty busy. Dog owners beware, the 'off leash' city enforcement officers frequent this park often and DO regularly give tickets to people walking/biking with dogs off-leash.

Winter: trail close to old mill bridge north is all covered with ice from river, over one meter high. Hardly pass through.

trail running

Some parts very icy, spike is recommended. Some parkings and almost all washrooms are closed in winter.

Pretty nice trail. Easy to find, easy to navigate. Lots of scenic points to stop at and a nice mix of smooth terrain and roughing it. Would be nice if there were water stations though. Didn't see one and it was really hot out
