Well, intention was Elora gorge trail but visitors centre said it’s closed til May 24.

She recommended this trail but to start on the side of the Lions something. Took the photo of the entrance stone and go around she said.

we walked a good distance to get to it. When she could have told us drive to the area and cross the park.
There was nothing to see. Boring dead trees and construction and wet swamp sections.

Waste of time gas. Boring!

great day

what a beautiful walk. very easy to do, but take into consideration the conditions. we've done this at all times of the year, with snow and ice it can become a little more taxing.

easy goin

Accidentally found this trail to start the Forks of the Credit loop trail, since we couldn’t find parking on a crowded weekend. Nice long trail, easy access to lots of other trails. Well maintained and not as crowded. Lots to see on this trail.

AMAZING HIKE! Love the nature. Love the water. Love the sounds. Love the birds. One of my favs & highly recommended.

Beautiful area - love it here!

Short hike but it was absolutely beautiful. Noticed that further down the right side of the trail it’s closed off by a big fence which is a let down.

The park’s current map is significantly different than the one shown here. I think the south part is still there, but possibly not listed on their maps? I didn’t check it out as the rain was starting to bucket down. The North part, from roughly the bridge the tubers cross up to the road and back, is an easy walk with some roots and rocks but mostly flat dirt or wood chips.
It took about an hour, with stops at the not-terribly-scenic lookouts and a sit-down for lunch.
Nice enough, but not scenic and the overall effect of a walk in the woods is spoiled by the fence.
The town of Elora is lovely, but I either missed the great views/hikes at the gorge or else they aren’t there any more.
Had a great day anyway! The camping and tubing look good.

rode it this past Saturday with my son-in-law. Trail was in excellent shape. Met lots of users, many Shady spots which were appreciated. stopped at Shand Dam for lunch. food truck was there.

One of my most Favourite places to hike with the kids!

Trail access is completely fenced in. You cannot access the trails from Ross St or the Wellington Bridge without climbing a 6ft fence. I image this is because they want you to pay for day use access. The Wellington bridge is a great view though.

The trail doesn't start at Ross St. anymore. It's at Wellington beside the bridge. Awesome trail!

it was nice but not really " hike like " feeling. more like a nice walk. plus if.you want to see the falls they are beautiful but you have to climb the fence to get to them
trail is good for people who don't hike .

Trail is disappointing short and too much of it is paved. You're basically following a fence alongside the gorge, with a few small offshoots of unpaved trails.

It IS scenic, though not enough to justify day use admission ($6.50) if coming just to hike. The tubing looks fun and is a highlight of this park. The camping also appears quite comfortable and well planned. Parking is convenient throughout the park.

TL;DR if you're an avid hiker, skip this place. If you're looking for some photos and tubing, this may be what you're looking for.

Simple Trail. Great experience!

really enjoyed getting lost and finding my way. Not the best marked trail so for those less adventurous stick to what you see.

High water has flooded the road as April 8th, 2017, which has made the loop not possible.

Nice views and the trail is well maintained. However, the trail isn't very challenging; would have preferred more elevation change. Daniel is correct that the trail isn't remote and the gorge safety fence does ruin the feel somewhat.

Great trail with some beautiful sights and things to explore. However the chain link fence along the entire trail completely ruined it for me. If youre looking for a weekend out with the family its awesome. If youre looking for a naturalistic backwoods feel this is not the trail.

This trail goes through some very interesting landscapes . We did a few point to point treks at different times to cover the whole trail . We used local cab companies to drop us off then walk back to our vehicle . Dave at Fergus cab was a great help . We ate supper at Belwood and a couple times in Erin . The Erin restaurant was about one km up the road from the trail crossing , very good food . Be sure to check out the dam at Belwood Lake . Happy trails . K

There's a company that rent out tubes pfds and helmets and will pick you up drop you off and you can tube the section of river it takes 145 min to go front he too section to the bottom section ad the best part there's a bus to pick you up every 20 min to bring you to the top it is a great way to spend a Saturday but it can be fairly busy and bring sunscreen and water it's a great time and quite the lazy river ride
