This was my first extended “mountain biking” trail on a new bike. It was mostly single track but there were two tracks in some places and the track was far enough from the bush that It was comfortable and leisurely. If you are new to single-track then this would be a good introductory ride. Overall there were few if any challenging uphills or downhills . If you can do the lake view trail twice without issue you can probably do this trail. Only downside is that the trail was hard to find sometimes as it was only marked from one direction and multiple other trails meet up with it. I’d recommend bringing a trail map with you and/or making sure your phone is charged up before going.

Beautiful quiet scenery nice and close to the city. The perfect forest escape.

Very easy trail. Well marked throughout. Crosses a few other trails along the way.

Very nice easy trail in good condition in early May.

good easy trail to ease the kids back into hiking. trails are well kept, and the play ground along the way was a lot of fun and a great place to stop for a picnic

Very easy and pretty trail. Kids love it.

As far as rural trails in MB go, its great. Short but beautiful, but the option is there to loop it twice. Make sure to wear appropriate foot wear because it does live up to its "bog" name :) FYI kids think its the greatest!

Nice trail close to the city for biking and hiking. Perfect way to get to Birds Hill Park (no traffic). My advice is bring lots of water and wear a hat / sunscreen during the summer months. Dress for the weather. Not much shade or shelter.

Best time of the day to do the East section of the trail is first thing in the morning. AWESOME sunrise views over the floodway.

A great trail to get you out to Bird's Hill park on your mountain bike

Not too bad of a trail, don’t go during night time as you need to see the ground where your feet go.

Trail entrance is just past the "employees only" gate, took a minute to find, but well worth it

Nice. Paved.

Enjoyed this trail today. We went down the closed area a bit wet in a small area but we stayed dry.

It's a well used trail that is closed part way through due to trail conditions. Hiked through the closed section of the trail, it was wet and muddy but overall not too bad.

Definitely better than walking in the city but not much. Good for some exercise but if you have ever been off the prairies you’ll find this dull.

Very easy, just a walk down a trail. Old bridge with a creek. Homestead is cool.

Just tried to do this. The start of the trail is not very well marked. And, if we were actually on the right trail it also was not well marked.

Nice loop, well traffic and great for walking the dog.

nice trails. very easy. there is a lot of overlap between aspen, blue stem and chickadee, but it's a good way to kill a Sunday morning.

Great place close by to do trail walking ... will definitely go back
