An easy walk in the woods.

Fantastic place. Beautifully maintained. Well marked trails. Lots of shade. Me and the dogs loved it!

We also walked around the duck pond and then across the street to Sargent Sundae for treats! The flowers are great. Very crowded.

I never came across a bridge at all. Did the entire 2km loop though

An easy walk - paved trails are easy to follow. Watched a deer feeding next to the trail. The southern section is currently inaccessible due to road construction.

Quick little simple walk, good for an evening stroll. Lots of mosquitos on the sagimay portions right now!

Cute little walk, but definitely marked as 1.5km at the trail head. Not for hardcore but a nice stroll.

If you're getting back into the physical swing of things, this is a great trail to start upping the ante. The farthest I had gone before was 4k and this being so easy, it really felt like an accomplishment. This trail is for the leisurely, the families, and the novices. Definitely not the hardcore or people looking for a challenge...hence why it's marked easy. Thankfully all dogs were leashed today, however be prepared that any trail in and around the City of Winnipeg, you're going to experience that "me myself and I" attitude and be prepared for unleashed dogs. We went during a bad time for the sun since there's a lot of spots where the sun was shining on us just a bit too much, but this would be good for a morning or later afternoon stroll. The mosquitos suck in Assiniboine Forest this year, though. Literally and figuratively.

We combined this with doing the Sagimay trail over all. It was okay, super easy, but dang those mosquitos. They certainly picked the right photo for those trail markers. Again, same problem as our other trail in the area with rude cyclists. Wouldn't kill to say "on your left" or something.

A beautiful path filled with lovely arrangements including a cacti section.

As far as the trail itself goes, if you're unfit like me and felt accomplished doing 2.5k, you'll feel fantastic completing this one. It's very easy, well marked enough that my kids would be able to figure it out, and has very little surprises or inclines. I might have made a mistake jumping up a kilometre this fast, but felt like a boss finishing it. If you're super fit and looking for a challenge? This ain't it, fam. Knocking off a star due to unleashed dogs and rude cyclists.

It's a well maintained and marked trail. Is it good? It's well maintained and marked.....

Quick and easy walk. It's a nice way to kill an hour.

I wouldn't call it a trail. But Leo Mol Sculpture Garden in the summer is a must see in Winnipeg. It has a variety of beuatiful flowers, nice scultptures and a small gallary on the grounds. There is also a lot of places you can spend the rest of your day around the park or cross the street to visit Saregent Sunday's.

Super nice walk here in town. It's a nice little walk for in the city.

Great for a little city hike. Very flat and easy.

I was walking along the Assiniboine River. I was hoping to take pictures of the scenic trail, but there was too much garbage along the trail. Plastic bags and water bottles.

Still early in the season so most pathways are still snow-covered and some are not easily discernible or walkable. This is a beautiful spot in the summer.

Personally prefer the aspen trail over the others as it is paved with wood chips and is very well shaded. All the trails are marked clearly. Definitely a must if you’d prefer to go for a walk within the city but want to feel closer to nature.

Decent in the city hike

A pleasant walk through the forest, but nothing special. Birds can sometimes be seen from the boardwalk.

This is a pleasant walk through the forest on well-maintained and signed trails, but there is little in the way of scenic reward or challenge.

What a great little hiking area; especially good for hot sun filled days. With the trails running through the forest, the canopy is a great reprieve. The whole area is rubbish free, and people respected the "leash laws" in regards to their canine companions. Love to go back.
