Out to suspension bridge and across to come back. Hikers, cyclers and runners, and dogs all sharing the trail in friendship. Kayakers in the river.

Morning started off rainy as expected, but after a big day yesterday up to panorama, the down hill was a nice change of pace Well marked trail Not buggy Beautiful walk through the forest

awsome hike. no complaints

Good trail, somewhat difficult to find.. went anticlockwise and when you turn right towards crater ridge watch out for wasps - there were so many I ended up running majority of the trail.. would recommend the shorter route which ?possibly doesn’t have as many wasps close by as it kind of ruined it for me!

Trail head hard to find as everyone says. The Riverside is where you want to be. Don't park near loggers lake -- you'll miss the most beautiful part of the trail (which is the riverside walk). Really gorgeous views. we went off trail at one point and crossed over a suspension bridge to the far side which was a lucky error because it was beautiful. Coming back we did not go completely around loggers lake but took a shortcut, staying on ridge side,,and made the trail about 5.3 miles.

This loop ended up taking us 6.2mi. For folks having trouble finding the trailhead, we started walking north from the wetlands sign behind the Olympic Village gym. You have to walk on the sidewalk for a bit until you cross the bridge for the Cheakmus and then you hit the trail. Would recommend doing the loop clockwise, as the ascents in the other direction would be much more challenging.

The trail head was difficult to find with all the new construction in the area. That being said, once we found the trail and began the accent we found it to be delightfully challenging. The views were beautiful and the trail was not crowded at all. The entire time we were on the trail we saw 13 others. Overall a great workout!

Great workout up to the top with the descent down to the lake! My teenagers dove in for a swim. Hike out along far side loop is nice and easy..great hike with the family

Loved this trail! Started with a healthy climb to get the blood pumping and the back half was a pleasant descent to the lake and then on to the river. Great hike for someone looking to gain some experience!

Prefer coming into this area of the backcountry from Black Tusk - lots of mosquitoes in Helm.

Had a lot of fun on this trail with a puppy. There is now a complimentary parking lot that is beside the trailhead, highly recommended to start there. The first portion is well maintained, but the portion where Lower Ridge ends and Upper Ridge begins is narrow and dark. There is a section that goes over rock a rock slide. Our puppy was bitten by black flies; make sure to have anti-bug measures and a bear bell/spray.

Started and finished from Whistler creekside. Difficulty I would consider moderate. Hike was nice with a lot of fresh air. Decent views but I’ve seen better. Most of the hike is inside the forest. Good for non experienced hikers

Awesome trail. Lots of ups and downs. Didn’t see any bears, but was worried. Not a lot of traffic. Would do this one again.

Beautiful views of black tusk and the rainbow range from the rim trail.

Nice trail. Goes around loggers lake then down by the river. Great trail for the dog.

Although the trailhead was hard to find ( we had to ask local people as the app was off) this hike is great. We did it clockwise getting up the steepest part of the trail (Ridge trail and Crater Rim trail) and going down on the more gradual part (Farside trail). The Fareside trail follows the river, it’s beautiful.

Nice walk on the forest with amazing swim at Loggers Lake but definitely not an easy trail on the crater rim part. I would say it is a moderate walk.

Agree, the Crater Rim portion of the trail is at least moderate - a short, yet steep climb with some tricky sections. Beautiful views and a jump in the lake is a must

Fantastic trail, gorgeous views. I would rate the Crater Rim portion as at least "moderate" as it was a bit tricky (particularly with a baby carrier).

Great hike with a spectacular view of the black tusk from the camp site. Continuing past the camp site you arrive in a beautiful alpine area with some “Martian” like terrain. The first pitch after the river is quite steep and is a hard workout with a backpack full of camping gear. Afterward it levels out and makes for a peaceful hike through the forest. The helm creek campsite accessed via this trail is a great alternative to the other if Garibaldi campsites if they’re booked up.

Great early season hike. Pretty easy going apart from one or two bits that get the blood going but nothing hectic. Some really nice views of Black Tusk & Loggers Lake.

Lots of different terrain, very beautiful. Once the trail brings you down by the lake, it makes for a great lunch stop!

Beautiful, quiet trail. Little traffic. Climb at start then levels off. A bit of a goat trail in sections but we found this fun

The trail was really beautiful but I couldn’t complete the loop due to heavy snow and unsure of logger Lake was safe to walk on.

This was a great trail with great views but if you do the 8km loop as pictured in the app - I would call it a moderate trail for sure, not easy. Definitely steep sections and it's a good workout overall.

Steady climb to hit the meadows - similar to the Garibaldi Lake trailhead access. Great camping at Helm Creek, makes for a solid base camp to hit Panorama Ridge or Black Tusk. Bring bug spray.

Good views but the loop was not straight forward
