Explore the most popular trail running trails in Lynn Canyon Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

This trail is not as strenuous as the Grouse Grind nor Stawamus Chief but it was more exhausting, especially on the hamstrings and feet. The payoff at the end is the gorgeous falls, which, when you get there, is the perfect place and time to eat a snack.

Beautiful cedar trees and gorgeous water falls took 4-5 hours round trip.

Good moderate 3 hour round trip hike accessible by transit.

Great run!!!!

Really enjoyed this trail! It was awesome!

probably my fav hike i’ve done! waterfall is gorgeous! did it in the snow a few months ago, it was definitely a challenge due to the weather. would love to do it again after it all melts. easy to get lost for sure tho!

Moderate indeed. But good trail and really liked the waterfall! Took about ~4hrs

Small lake but it is beautiful! Easy trail! I did with my friends one month ago.

Fun trail. Took us ~4 hours round trip

Nice one!

Nice walking, not hard! Beautiful creeks, forest and lake.

Absolutely loved doing this trail. It’s one of the most dynamic hikes I’ve done.
Relatively untouched.
Note: it is unmaintained so rocks and roots are plenty. Can get slippery from mud and many stream crossings.
Follow the markers. People have marked the trail for a reason... it would be easy to get lost out there.
When you get to the big tree, look to your left to keep going up. There’s a relatively steep section at this point... I promise you, it’s worth it!
Head up to Kennedy falls. You’ll hear the water gushing. The falls are absolutely stunning.
I sat and had some food before continuing back.
It gets quite cold and slippery near the falls from the water spraying FYI.
Water is cold, but mighty refreshing!
I’d love to do this hike again.

I really enjoyed doing this hike!

Did it today. A bit scary as not many people in this trail. But worth checking in here.

Great hike, beautiful views.

Great hike to an amazing tree with spectacular spring falls !

Great hike to do when its raining. Not too busy and not to hard. It was muddy and wet but well worth it. The big tree is amazing! The water fall at this time of year is impressive.

Love the views and it’s an easy enough walk my 5yo son loved it and it tired him out

Great hike with some challenging points!

Awesome hike on a rainy day. Got pretty wet and muddy, slipped a couple times. My crew was pretty quick and we went to the falls and back in just over 2 hours. Ran some of the way. Falls are beautiful. Lots of area to dip in the water on a hot day. Interesting trees, and not just the big cedar. Loved it.

Nice easy and beautiful walk

This is a great and fun hike, varying terrain and not too difficult. The trail isn't marked as well once you get past Big Cedar but keep your eye out and you'll be fine.

This is an awesome hike. We had light packs and did it in 3.5 hours with a quick dip in the waterfall. Such a beautiful reward at the end

This is mainly a mountain biking area and the first part of the trail is shared but not an issue.
It's a great hike with some ups and downs and beautiful old growth forest. It's 12 km return to the parking lot.
The Falls are beautiful and the rocks are very slippery so be careful. The other creeks were dried up when we went but it would be interesting to see them in full force.
I imagine snowshoeing would be great here.
We parked in the 3h lot and did not get ticketed. Maybe luck?

A lovely easy hike through the forest. No views are available on this hike however the crystal clear waters of Kennedy Falls are worth the hike.

We saw some trail runners with their dogs, if you do want to run it just be aware of the many loose rocks and trees roots along the path.

Just a side note, recently the car park at the trail-head has limited the duration to 3 hours. This trail can be complete in under 3 hours however if you're looking to take your time I'd suggest parking in the neighborhood near by (a lot of the parking is permit based so just be careful)

It's a nice loop for trail running. Well maintained.

Great hike. Variety in terrain. Relatively quiet, a low traffic trail when we did it in Mid May. Highly recommend
