Fog friendly with great views of the river and surrounding mountains along the Hoodoo View part of the trail. This section is mostly single track so no side by side walking. I didn't find the elevation change to be very dramatic or taxing. Once past the views of the hoodoos on the other side of the river, the trail continues upwards and into the trees. From here the trail becomes more of a forest nature trail with limited views of the mountains or river. Once at the top, the trail becomes the Jimmy Russel access road and is wide enough for side by side walking. It was a great hike and I would recommend it.

Nice ridgeline trail through fir and larch forest. Very nice hiking and cycling in winter. Good connections to easy-up trails for modest elevation gain and fast downhill with optional side trails

Lots of cool single track trails to ride on just off the main trail. Don’t be fooled by some of the photos that others have posted. There are no rivers or waterfalls. Those would be the Mary’s vill waterfall and a few of the others would be the St. Mary’s river. Regardless, it’s still a nice trail with some nice looking view points with some really fun and exciting single tracks for all mountain bikers.

Would definitely class as easy instead of moderate! Great valley views though...

Family has a place in Kimberley and we love how we can just walk into to these hiking trails right from the street. Trails are well marked and well maintained. Wildlife is pretty common in the area despite its popularity. So much to see! Lots of different terrain and almost impossible to do the same hike twice. Nature park connects to both horse barn valley and Kimberley Nordic.
