Good views and a nice loop.

Not Easy, loose dirt and rocks in places

Beautiful trail. Stunning arbutus. I found sections of the trail aren't really run-able: either too steep or loose gravel and steep or too rocky and steep. But the climbs keep you're heart working and the views are lovely. Saw clear to Mt Baker today.

it was ok for a short walk. easy going. but not very interesting. the picknick area not great either.

Great hike through forest. A lot of up and down where hiking poles are a great help. Carry water for your dog as few creeks.

A good blend of rolling smooth and mildly challenging rough terrain, perfect for a 60min run. Frequent, spectacular views, too.

Great hike would do it again. Wide clean path to start and then narrows somewhat with rocks and roots. Wonderful view at the summit.

Great cardio and an amazing view

Beautiful hike. Well traveled and easy to follow. I would agree with earlier posts that this is not an easy hike due to length and elevation....it was the equivalent of 137 floors on the Apple iPhone step tracker. It is has some fantastic views!

Like this one :)

Beautiful views all along the trail. Some steeper sections here and there but relatively easy hike. Several ways to access so easy to parts of it from either end.

very well kept trail, lots great viewpoints looking across and down the inlet. Beautiful stands of arbutus, along the whole hike.

Awesome hike! Wouldn’t rate it as “easy”, though! A fair amount of elevation gain going up the Timberman trail. Well marked, mostly forested trail with some nice view points along the way to Jocelyn Hill. Took us four hours at a comfortable pace and a food break up top.

Loved it!!!! Beautiful scenery. Loved the arbutus trees. ❤️

So beautiful!

Great hike. Great view of the Malahat

Well marked trail with great views.
Quite well maintianed trails with ample parking for November.
A little snow today made for a Winter Wonderland effect in the forest sections.

Great hike! Did this on a sunny and warm day in early September - was very hot and almost not wind. Sweating buckets even in the shade. The trail is very well marked and easy to follow. Not too many people, some dogs on leash, great views at the top of the loop (mostly in forest otherwise). I feel it was more likely four hours of movement time. Lots of ups and downs, many are quite rocky so poles are a good idea.

Great views of Finlayson Arm. Easy to moderate hike through arbutus and mixed forest with ridge areas to take in the view. . Definitely would do again

Easy walk paths along the ruahing river that leans into an inlet. flat land with a slight slope upwards on the way back. 30 min total walking time. has a small beach to sit at the inlet.

I did the McKenzie Trail after working all day. It was short but an awesome workout get back up from the water.

It was worth the effort, but was more taxing then I thought
Loved the fact that it was very secluded

This was an easy, relaxing hike which astounded me with its beauty. Once I made my way down the well-maintained path, I relaxed on a bench and watched the activities in the inlet. From birds chirping, to yachts and sail boats floating at their moorings, I had lots lot look at. I met up with 10-15 other people, some with dogs, and all were friendly. I would do this hike again and again if I was a local, but I live in California. Still, I plan to return again!
