We didn’t follow the trail exactly however it was a beautiful walk beside the stream. The section from the head of the trail to the waterfall is easy with moderate sections which was wet , muddy and slippery over the root beds. Make sure you go down the stairs to see Upper Niagra Falls.

great fast trail

Great short hike. Great especially for cardio. Be careful when it’s wet, very slick.

Short and sweet. Nice steep climb in but nothing too insane IMO. Not often you can see a waterfall and walk an old railway bridge in 30 minutes just meters off of the highway. This Russian guy took me on a 4 hour drive and 6 hour hike to see a “waterfall” which was just a trickle of water flowing over some boulders!

Challenging climb with lots of scrambling. I prefer the loop because I don't love the scramble down

We went up the rocky scramble face of the mountain and tried to follow the loop back down. However, that trail was closed and we ended up taking a much longer route towards the parking lot by the road. On the way back to the car, we crossed under the highway and went up to the tracel. Great hike!

This trail was a lot of fun! Quite steep in parts but not a long hike at all. Very doable and the trestle is a must see in this area!

The trestle is pretty cool, good to go early before the tour busses show up. It’s a short “hike”, but easy enough to split off and do your own thing.

very steep so just be careful, there is no real markers for the trail and could use a little maintenance/clean up but it is so worth it once you get up to the old bridge!

Steep hike up to the old Trestle Bridge. This whole park is in need of signage. ‘Niagara Falls’ is a magnificently high falls but is unmarked but easily found if you know where to look. To find this unmarked gem- From the main parking lot, head under the freeway via a large concrete culvert which is easily spotted from the main path. Once through the culvert, if you want to see the trestle bridge, turn sharp right and go up the embankment to join the Trestle Trail. If you want to see the Falls simply go straight from the culvert up the creek bed and you will soon see one of the most beautiful falls on the island. Too bad no markings for either Trail or Falls. Many hikers were looking for the Niagara Falls on the Trestle Trail. It’s not there, it’s straight out of the culvert.

Great trail! Definitely longer than 6 miles. Have to hop over some rocks under the bridge/ overpass to avoid crossing the highway. Ass officially kicked

Great hike if you’re feeling adventurous. No signs telling you where to go. Be careful, it’s pretty dangerous!
