Excellent view from the trestle! Pretty steep trail, but worth it(:

The last quarter is basically steep rock. Be prepared for a workout the last little bit. Pretty well maintained and marked. Make sure to have water and talk safety with kids. Young children aren't recommended for the last bit of the climb but it is doable.

Such a beautiful and ultimately thrilling trail. Be sure to see the waterfall on the lower trail before you climb up to the trestle.

Nice short trail, but it gets pretty steep in some sections. The waterfall is tiny, but a nice stop before heading up to the trestle.

Interesting hike, very poor signage. You’ll need to park next to the southbound highway one, across from Goldstream Provincial Park parking. Then walk along the highway northbound, there is a the beginning of the trail.

Alternatively you can park at the Goldstream provincial park, go under the tunnel, then climb uphill. There is a waterfall if you walk straight after crossing the tunnel.

I won’t take very young children to the railway trestle, there are no railings on either side, and sections of the trail are quite steep.

Great trail with a waterfall and railway trestle bridge. Poor signage-helps to take a pic of the nap at the start. To get to the waterfall follow the stream bed. Wear running/hiking shoes.

Don’t miss checking out Niagra falls before heading up to the trail. It really is beautiful. Crossing the bridge is quite a rush! - Further on there is a second trestle bridge and beyond that a tunnel. It all made for a great afternoon.

Worth the hike! Gorgeous views.

Great trail, beautiful views. Hike it at least once every summer.

I started the hike from the Westin. I really enjoyed the hike, however I feel it’s important to mention that in many parts of this hike you are scrambling over rocks. Using your hands to climb. I didn’t expect that, and it’s steep at some points. Be prepared to get dirty. Really enjoyed the workout and the view from the summit.

Beautiful walk, mostly along the side of the ridge. Not difficult - even brought my blind little dog on a short leash.

Awesome trail, definitely a climb but the view from the trestle was worth it. The Niagara waterfall was beautiful and easy to access before heading up to the trestle as well. The trail itself was interesting and required attention but wasn’t too physically demanding.

Awesome. Quiet with wilderness right beside the city.

Great hike! Trestle is super cool. I didn't realize that you can see right through the Trestle between every wood beam - it's pretty high! Instead of hiking back right away we took the Gold Mine trail South and checked out the abandone mine shift. That spits you out at the highway. You an either cross the highway right there (a bit sketchy) or continue South and cross underneath with the stream. Then we continued North back to the parking lot. All in was about 6 km.

A bit confusing to start - need to follow highway north to cross the water. After that its a great trail.

This is a great hike if you're looking for something short with a beautiful payoff. After you go through the tunnel, you take an immediate right and it's up for about 1k to get to the Trestle. You get to enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Finlayson from the trestle. This isn't a good hike to do with children as there is no railing on the trestle.

Fun hike (not too hard) with a unique view at the top and a gorgeous waterfall to cool off in at the end!

A steep ascent but not overly long. Definitely worth the couple of hours to hike there and back. Bring a camera and binoculars lots to photo and look at.
