Beauty of a hike. Well groomed trails but don’t know how one would follow this hike without this app and being able to see a map in real time. We started at the Goldstream park parking lot and walked across the bridge to the foot of Mt Finlayson and started up the stairs as our start point and then followed the trail in a clockwise direction. We clocked it at 11km and it took us 3h 11m at a moderate pace with only one real break when we did the out and back to see the waterfall.

There are some steep hills and we deviated off of the Alltrails trail to get to the waterfall. There were no bugs on our August 2nd morning hike which was lovely!

We're a fairly fit 58 and 60 year old couple. it was a good hike with lots of ups and downs. More trail marking would be nice, but all in all, a good 4 hours for a couple of old farts!

I found a really nice variant for the descent that avoids the steep rock scramble and provides nice views over the golf course.

Nice hike, some good gains in elevation. Not very many people on the trail, except for the spot near the waterfall.

Nothing too special. Very short walk. There are better trails in Goldstream Park to check out than this one.

Please Note: Suggested Trail takes you across the highway which is Dangerous. Use Caution. Also, muddy sections along the GoldStream Provincial Campground Side. Very Enjoyable.

Easy to follow, no trail hunting. Very kid friendly (hiked with my 2 year old). steepest part has steps, rest is well groomed. first half is extra wide.

Came across a bear on the first half of this hike from the Goldstream campground to the Trestle. Nice hike with few people around until it meets with the Trestle trail. Would do again. Trouble with recording so didn’t capture our full journey this day.

Well-maintained wide trail through a beautiful forest. The view of Finlayson Arm isn’t that great. Don’t miss the waterfall though. Go through the tunnel and onto the other side of the highway. The waterfall is truly magical!

Hiked clockwise from the start point and when I reached the highway at the south end there is a sign ‘Danger. Do Not Cross Highway.’ Had to wait till no traffic in sight from the left or right in order to cross. After crossing the highway, the updated map leads to a Parking area where there is access to the river and a bridge over it. Added a bit to the north end by going uphill to the trestle. Total - 11.5 km.

A really enjoyable hike - if you enjoy scrambling. You are doing light scrambling majority of the way up. We did take the long loop back - you do need to pay close attention if you go this way. A lot of the paths are closed for rehabilitation and we missed a lot of the routes we should have taken. I thought the views at the top were really nice - you can see the Ocean and Victoria off in the distance . And yes you can see a subdivision but you are not out in the deep Rockies. Would say this is okay for dogs that are used to climbing up rocks and have their feet conditioned. I would do this hike again. However if it were to be raining I would stay away from it as you are walking up a lot of rocks that would be extremely slippery.

Lots of hills but worth it at the end / trestle!

parked at the north west end near Niagara Falls (west side) so could see falls, up to rail then along this track to the hidden springs summit (worth the small climb up!) then back to truck. great for dog (on lead of course!) - less than 10km round trip... if coming from vic, then need to go 5km past parking spot then u-turn - culverts running full and did not want to hop highway k-rail divider (if parked on east side)

Fairly intense hike to the summit. Absolutely treacherous in the pouring rain; don't recommend.
