Its very challenging and its a great workout. Also offers beautiful view.

Was wondering if anyone knew of the best place to park for completing this hike?
Also if it’s easier than completing the front side? Wanting to take my ma

Awesome trail, definitely a climb but the view from the trestle was worth it. The Niagara waterfall was beautiful and easy to access before heading up to the trestle as well. The trail itself was interesting and required attention but wasn’t too physically demanding.

Awesome. Quiet with wilderness right beside the city.

Went with my 12 year old son and friend and loved the challenge! Took our time and had fun!

Amazing trail with an even better view. Challenging and so rewarding.

I saw this family with two small children walking back down the mountain and thought “this isn’t going to be that hard, a six year old is walking down”. Fuck that. That trail was difficult. How the fuck did that kid make it up here?! That kid was a mutant or half-goat or a half-goat mutant.
5/5 would question reality again.

Great hike! Trestle is super cool. I didn't realize that you can see right through the Trestle between every wood beam - it's pretty high! Instead of hiking back right away we took the Gold Mine trail South and checked out the abandone mine shift. That spits you out at the highway. You an either cross the highway right there (a bit sketchy) or continue South and cross underneath with the stream. Then we continued North back to the parking lot. All in was about 6 km.

A bit confusing to start - need to follow highway north to cross the water. After that its a great trail.

Wow! Beautiful mountain!

I love this hike, but I take the back way because I'm afraid of the cliffs. I really enjoy it until that point.

Wonderful quick day hike. Gorgeous sights and easy marked trail. Many ways to take to the top which makes it fun and allows you to change it up if you want to hike it multiple times. The waterfall is a great place to sit and splash around in or enjoy a snack sitting on the rocks under the mist of the waterfalls.

Great hike with good cardio. Top half can be slippery with either rain or in summer the dust. Good trail runners essential.

This is a great hike if you're looking for something short with a beautiful payoff. After you go through the tunnel, you take an immediate right and it's up for about 1k to get to the Trestle. You get to enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Finlayson from the trestle. This isn't a good hike to do with children as there is no railing on the trestle.

Great trail - step up the south face, but beautiful views, and great descent on the north side. Clear views up the Stanch.

Going up and down the rocks was a little scary at times, but such a great hike.

great hike! went up from Goldstream Provincial Carpark, had fun on the rocks, and reached the summit to amazing views. it was a little smoky, but still nice. walked down the rocks from the summit to look over the estuary. we went down the much easier trail route down the back side, and reached Finlayson Arm Road, where we walked for 20 minutes until hitchhiking in the back of a pickup truck. Good Times!

Well maintained trail with the opportunity to see wildlife.

Fun hike (not too hard) with a unique view at the top and a gorgeous waterfall to cool off in at the end!

A steep ascent but not overly long. Definitely worth the couple of hours to hike there and back. Bring a camera and binoculars lots to photo and look at.

I have hiked this trail twice, once from the backside and the other ascending the front. Both are challenging hikes I thought the front was more rock climbing and the back more trail like. Definitely worth the effort to reach the summit. Bring a pair of binoculars there are some good views. Next time I'm going to park at the Finlayson Arm Rd entrance about 3km further up the road from Goldstream, it's a much less populated hike and I think a more enjoyable hike to the summit.

Great hike and great view from the top. I'm not a fan of overly populated trails and quite prefer solitude, which is what you get on the backside of the mountain. We do the loop by coming back on the Finlayson Arm Road
